I listened to every book in great detail. I laughed, cheered and was sadden. out if every post apocalyptic zombie book I have read and listened too this series is hands down amazing. let me say the freaking ending of this book and series couldn't have ended any better. absolutely brought tears to my eyes. Damn Good Job! I'm a fan forever

This book like all her other ones have some many twist. I love them, my wife joined a book club and started reading these. So figured let me listen so I could connect more with her. I'm normally a post apocalyptic type of guy but Freida McFadden books have definitely caught my attention. The Inmate is a top fav. must listen or read whatever your preferences. great job!

Ok at first, then stupid and kinda racist

To start, the story overall had me a little interested. For a min i said ok we have some good characters they have an idea of what zombies are and we not gonna have the omg its really a zombie act. The characters understood from the beginning and still failed with stupidity. I love everything apocalyptic but this was not good. I couldn't finish chapter 13. To add to that the constant referral of the characters of color that we clearly know who they are referring to them by their skin tone. "Mulatto or the black guy" just weird and stands out to much emphasis on it. Lost me after that.

I normally try not to rate books bad, the performance was great. the reader did his part. The overall story is stupid it could of have some meaning behind it. yes if you read the first book you understand what is happening, but to base the book on a 85 yr man perspective who is stuck with his brother that for all acts is brain dead is mind blowing and boring as hell. It's like reading journal notes from someone who has don't nothing but take care of the same person they entire life. he hasn't lived he has bo real life views or story completely pointless!!

there are a ton of mistakes in this book, for example
he was in the hospital laying next to a Marine Seal like wth is that. then later he calls him Colonel like how. Plain and simple do research. Being former Army this is disrespect. Army is Army, Marines are Marines & Seals are Seals. The two main characters are so slow its pissing me off
