Historia
They were the Savages. Raiders from our distant past. Elites who left Earth to create tailor-made utopias aboard the massive lighthuggers that crawled through the darkness between the stars. But the people they left behind on a dying planet didn't perish in the dystopian nightmare the Savages had themselves created: they thrived, discovering faster-than-light technology and using it to colonize the galaxy ahead of the Savages, forming fantastic new civilizations that surpassed the wildest dreams of Old Earth.

Critical background story for the main plot, and narrated by the best man for the job. Love Stephen Lang!

Historia
The Coalition is reeling. New Vega and its other worlds have fallen beneath the boot of the newly allied Savage marines, and the death count continues to rise at a staggering rate. One thing is clear: The war to come will be a fight for the very survival of the species. For both sides in this conflict, now is the time to become what fate, and victory, demand. The Savages - post-human monsters who believe themselves to be gods - are intent on remaking civilization in their own violent and pathological image. Yet their alliance is tenuous.

We cry mo', mo', moOoOoo'...of Crometheus! Loved the alternating perspectives and deep insight into the mind of a savage. Just be careful, it's a very alluring yet dangerous place to get stuck. ;)

Historia
Legion Dark Ops has always been a unit shrouded in secrecy. Tasked with performing covert missions, its kill teams are filled with the best warriors from within the ranks of the Legion. Kel Turner is one of the youngest legionnaires ever to be selected to its ranks. After many battles and trials, he is faced with the greatest challenge of his life - operating by himself on a remote planet at the galaxy's edge, a foot soldier for the policies of the duplicitous House of Reason, tasked with solving a crisis that would take ten kill teams to resolve.

Retrospective review! Oops :p
Revisado: 11-15-21
Doc Spears' debut in the GE universe is nothing short of Epic! Absolutley loved it! So much that I'm reviewing it after listening to it for the 2nd time! I must have gotten busy and forgot to review the first time I completed it. If you already like Galaxy's Edge, or military scifi in general, you're going to love Doc's entire DO series.

PFC Talker, attached to the weapons team section of a Ranger recon patrol led by Captain Knife Hand, recounts the harrowing attempt to destabilize this surreal and horrific nightmare force with everything the snipers, master breachers, and stone-cold killers of the Ranger regiment have in their bag of lethal tricks.

Out-****in-standing!
Revisado: 08-11-21
The first book hooked me in, and this one did it's job and kept me on the line. Can't wait to read the next one (and the next one, and the next one...you get the idea)! Maybe we'll learn more about the "ancient" SF guys that got to the Ruin first!

Historia
Orcs. Trolls. Wraith riders. Dark wizards. Together, they form an unstoppable force. Or so they thought. Dark Army...meet the US Army Rangers. When a Joint Task Force of elite Rangers are transported to a strange and fantastic future where science and evolution have incarnated the evils of myth and legend, they find themselves surrounded, pinned down, and in a desperate fight for their very survival - against nightmares of flesh and blood made real. Which means only one thing. It’s time to Ranger up and stack bodies.

Another legendary saga from Anspach and Cole!
Revisado: 05-03-21
Absolutely LOVED it!! I'm a huge fan of the Galaxy's Edge universe, and I've been trying to get all caught up, so I put this one off for a little while. After finally listening to it though, I'm just as hooked on Forgotten Ruin as I am GE. As all the others have said, this is the PERFECT blend of hardcore, elite US Army Ranger combat memoir, and Tolkien's LOTR. Wanna hear about Rangers dropping a literal giant with a Carl Gustaf recoilless rifle, and dispensing huge doses of controlled, maximum violence on all the bad creatures of fantasies past? Then pick this book up NOW!!!

OUT-F***ING-STANDING!!!!!
Revisado: 06-18-20
I recommend reading Galaxy's Edge: Outlaws before reading this one. As usual, the story is fantastic and the narration is as well. This one definitely pulls at the heart strings, especially if you've read at least the 2nd Galaxy's Edge book, though I'd suggest reading/listening to ALL of them.
