The performance was great

Absolutely loved listening to this series on the performance alone. It kept me engaged the whole time!
The story I feel like had some holes in it, and I hope a fourth book will come out to kind of patch those up. But it was a great listen, and I would listen to it again.
If you like fantasy, i def suggest this series. Mild spice. More focus on plot !

Frustration

Although I liked the narration for the most part, some parts were just so drawn out. I know the narrator was mimicking how Alexis would have felt during all of this. Which overall is really impressive! But there were times it just could have been speed up. The narrator felt bored. However, I’ve heard her in other books and really liked them. So I think this was a fluke. The story line was really good though. I cannot wait for book 2!
