Historia
Killing the sadistic warlord known as the Dog Tongue took everything Gus Berry had, including the woman he loved. Now, all he wants is to get away from the bloody scene of their final showdown. But when he heads west in a stolen truck, a brutal snowstorm forces him to turn back—and seek refuge in the Dog Tongue’s former headquarters. Though it’s littered with human carnage, the abandoned luxury hotel has a lot to offer a guy like Gus. But in addition to soft beds and working toilets, he encounters still-lurking dangers both living and undead.

I’m very fulfilled with this latest story of Gus’ travels. If it ended here I’d be content.
Hopefully it doesn’t though…

Historia
The Merry Band of Pirates offered the bad guys a ceasefire. We won’t mess with them, if they don’t mess with us. Easy, right? No. The aliens chose to do things the hard way. So, the Pirates are racing around the galaxy to clean up the threat to Earth. The infant UN Navy has their own mission with the Alien Legion: Get humanity some allies in the fight. And the Ethics & Compliance Office might have to do something...ethical. Unless they can find a way around it.

RC Bray did a great job as usual and the story has progressed just enough to keep me wishing for the next release.
I like when the MBP actually WIN at the end.

Overall dependable with some exceptions
Revisado: 01-22-21
I’m a follower of Tim’s YouTube channel and more recently his podcast.
His newer IRL show has gotten much bigger and much better now that he’s ironed out most of the guest issues. Adam wasn’t good for the show while Ian, who has very little to add that is substantive, provides comedic relief I suppose. Lydia is the calming, sweet influence every good team needs. Plus she’s much prettier than anyone else on the show.
Tim has a tendency to follow an emotional path sometimes, but he almost always ends up at the conclusion that most makes sense to me. I rarely agree with his social policy beliefs but watching how he has grown wiser as he’s aged has been helpful for my own path.
All that said, he tends to piss me off at least once a week.
I’d take Tim over any MSM news host any day, hands down.

RC Bray does a bang up job narrating Craig Alanson’s story. I’m happy that Skippy has finally started whooping some ass, but I simply cannot wait to learn more about the Elders.

Historia
Marine First Lieutenant Jacob Brown is bored. For months he's been sitting around on an alien planet, waiting for command to recall his scout team so they could rest and be re-outfitted. When command finally does reach out, however, it isn't to order Obsidian home for some much needed r&r. Instead, they are being reactivated and sent out into the contested space of the recently conquered Eshquarian Empire to track down a single Terran cruiser called the Eagle's Talon.

Revisado: 07-25-20
My personal bias aside, I really enjoy all the books in the Omega Force/Terran Scout Fleet series. The addition of Jacob has so far been masterful. Stealing his father’s ship is a perfect method to reunite the two. I’m looking forward to the next story.

Historia
In the 20th century Earth sent probes, transmissions, and welcoming messages to the stars. Unfortunately, someone noticed. The Galactics arrived with their battle fleet in 2052. Rather than being exterminated under a barrage of hell-burners, Earth joined their vast Empire. Swearing allegiance to our distant alien overlords wasn't the only requirement for survival. We also had to have something of value to trade, something that neighboring planets would pay their hard-earned credits to buy. As most of the local worlds were too civilized to have a proper army, the only valuable service Earth could provide came in the form of soldiers....

Great story, masterful narration
Revisado: 02-15-19
Mark Boyett brings James McGill to life in a way that makes you wish, just a little, that you were him.
I'm almost done with this series, but I'm already starting to fear the end. I find myself drawn into the next scheme, conspiracy and earth-ending catastrophe that McGill finds himself embroiled in.
The only frustration I've experienced is how badly the man is treated by ALL of his higher ranked officers. Not one of them treats him fairly and you find him in the same situations in every book. It's part of his character, I understand that, but I found it slightly unbelievable that every single human that surrounds him always wants to either kill him or set him up for their own crimes, over and over again. Even those who you think care for him.
Obviously I've gotten over that frustration because I cannot stop reading, and I suggest you do also.

Historia
The aliens have invaded, wiping out almost all life on Earth. Their goal: water. Huge spaceships are draining the oceans, and the few remaining humans have been herded into farms, where their bodies are harvested to support the growing alien army. Humanity's last chance lies in the biospheres that have been planted secretly across the globe. But all is not peaceful in the biome led by Dr. Sophie Winston. With resources dwindling and tensions high, her small group of survivors is divided. Some want to fight, some want to stay hidden, and Sophie just wants to keep everyone alive.

Great story, narration lacking
Revisado: 01-15-19
I really enjoy NSS's stories and the information he weaves into them. I've enjoyed all his series, but I find myself routinely getting upset by the narrator. He continues to over emotionalize characters and moments at the wrong times, as well as making main characters seem jumbled and unbelievable. I find it difficult to finish these Orbs stories, but I'm slowly getting through them, doing my best to enjoy the story as I hear it. All this narrators books have this issue, but it seems worse in this one in particular.

Historia
At the end of the world, who will survive? The year is 2061, and the planet is dying. Cataclysmic solar storms have forced leaders from around the world to finally put aside their differences and agree on one thing-to jump ship. The human race is headed to Mars. Dr. Sophie Winston is hired by New Tech Corporation to test a biosphere deep within the heart of Cheyenne Mountain; a mission she believes will help prepare the company for the three-year flight to the red planet. But, just days into the assignment, things start to go wrong. When the blast doors open, it's a changed world.

Great Story, ok narration.
Revisado: 12-09-18
The narrator doesn't do well with character emotion, making all women seem like fairy snowflakes who are scared of their own shadows and making Overton sound like a psychopath with zero empathy and no self control. Bronson P. tends to do this, I've found in many of N.S.S's stories. I personally have to force myself to the end of each story, even though I enjoy the writing.

Fun, but...
Revisado: 10-22-18
A fun, delightful story for science fiction fans, right up to the point where the author thought it was wise to insert his political opinions into the story, something I find highly annoying.
