Loved the book
Revisado: 08-10-23
I love Hound's story - it's one of my favorites in the Chaos series. I had a hard time getting through the audible.version. The performer was okay and I'm sure with the right book would do an amazing job. But listening to Hound's thoughts and words in a female voice did not work for me.

Stories were great, narrator lacking
Revisado: 02-22-23
loved the stories but it was difficult to listen to. I kept wanting to correct the narrator everytime she said Stella Maris. I get it - two different narrators. But shouldn't they pronounce the Island's name the same?

Historia
It’s Davis Way’s first slot-tournament season. And it may be her last. Things are dicey at work. A personal assistant goes missing, a little old lady goes on a suspicious winning streak, and a Bellissimo executive goes gaga for Davis. She follows a disappearing slot-tournament player trail to the So Help Me God Pentecostal Church in Beehive, Alabama, then jumps headlong into a high stakes holy scandal. She’s on a losing streak at home, too. Her days, nights, and dinners run together, as Davis juggles a revolving door of uninvited guests, namely her rotten ex-ex-husband, Eddie Crawford.

I love this series! Davis, Fantasy, No hear, and Bianca never fail to entertain. The reader's voices are great and she really keeps you hooked while listening to the story.

Historia
Eager to understand her secret desires, Gabrielle enters "The Sanctuary." Inside she's immediately torn between fear of the unknown and a craving to learn more, until the lights dim. From the first sound of Thomas' calm and controlled voice, she is mesmerized. With an underlying need in her emotional spirit that requires more control, she is easily seduced into a world of dominance and submission.

Great book to read - audiobook not so much
Revisado: 09-28-14
What disappointed you about Submissive Beauty?
The narration was a major disappointment for me. I have a fairly large library of books from Audible and I have to say this is the first one that I have been so disappointed in that I couldn't even complete listening to the entire book. There were times in the story that I was unable to differentiate from the narration or the characters, let alone which character was supposed to be speaking. Having read the book multiple times and knowing the story, this was a major issue and made it unable to follow.
Would you be willing to try another one of Nina Burns’s performances?
Not if the major characters are men.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
The story itself is very good and quite riveting.
