I really did not get into this book. I didn't like the spells or the style. It definitely tends to lean more on the dark side of magic. A lot of F-bombs too - and I curse like a sailor but it's a different feeling when you're having it read to you on an audio book. Not my cup of tea.

I loved this! I really enjoyed the countless tips which were not only helpful they were realistic. So many books I hear it sounds like the suggestions may work well for celebrities but not for real working people. The only thing is there are times that sound as if it's an ongoing commercial and promotion of too many products. Also, for someone who is all about the "organic" and the "pet friendly" she's certainly pushing a few products that do test on animals.

Great pointers

I absolutely love Kate Hudson. The fact she is Goldie's daughter is a bonus. I love that Kate references her often in this book. It is a very good book full of great pointers and suggestions, just not what I was looking for. She mentions some areas where I end up getting lost and finally saying to myself "what???". If you get there too, just fast forward. Her narration is great and very upbeat and cheerful. Worth a listen.

Not what I was looking for

This is not a bad book or bad listen, just not what I was looking for. If you are looking for specific ways to train your dog - just move on. This is primarily about puppyhood and Cesar literally trying to raise a perfect dog. I am going to continue to search for other books by him or just watch his YouTube channel.

What a strange book to write a review about. I like Priscilla and I loved her narration. She really sounded like she was enjoying herself reading this book about Elvis.
On the other hand, it paints a pretty poor picture of such a beloved man. It makes him almost like a womanizing mama's boy with no regard for women whatsoever. I guess the story just turned me off. I follow Linda Thompson on social media and she paints a very different picture. Although Elvis wasn't faithful by any stretch of the word, he was apparently a very loving man. I guess it's all in how you look at it.

Excellent Book on Joan!

This book was great. I really enjoyed the debunking Mommie Dearest - that was my favorite part. Joan was really incredibly smart and she studied everything and did not miss a detail. My only complaint where I did not leave an overall 5 star was because I thought it went into too much of the movies in detail. You can spend a chapter about the ups and downs and productions of one of her movies and your mind can begin to wander. (At least mine did).

So fun!

This was a great find! I love that it's narrated by Joan herself. It really shows how polished she was, though a tad over-the-top.
The book is really a "how-to" for being a girl/a wife/or feminine in general. A lot of tips and tricks you may not think of and details that may have been overlooked. Example, what to do and what not to do at a dinner party.
Though there are a lot of pointers in this book that are out-of-date, it's still fun to listen to just for knowledge of the era. (Like, who even makes aspic's anymore???).
This is a quick listen and just fun all the way.

As I continue to check out more books and stories of the life of Miss D, this is a great addition. It's so interesting to hear how she conducted herself. The story is great though I could have gone without the "Road Trip" chapters.
The narration was a bit irritating at times only because it began to sound robotic.
It's a quick listen and great for some extra insight into the Queen.

This is a very good book and the story is by Bette herself. Suzanne Toren who also narrated "This N That" did fabulous. In my opinion this book was a more in-depth, detailed version of "This N That". Worth a listen.
