time to listen
Revisado: 07-04-24
the content seemed prophetical and biblical combined. It does seem like there has been a change in some people's behavior since Covid. Not for the better.
Best to read the book rather than listen. It felt like the narrator was telling a story to children rather than conveying something of importance.

Skip this one
Revisado: 11-15-22
It was challenging for me to review this story. My thought is this: unless you need affirmation of your non heterosexuality, skip it. Too preachy.
As usual, well performed. There are so many other relevant issues that who loves whom seems trivial.
The story was well written, but seemed extreme.

Historia
“Homecoming” takes us back to Ford County, the fictional setting of many of John Grisham’s unforgettable stories. Jake Brigance is back, but he’s not in the courtroom. He’s called upon to help an old friend, Mack Stafford, a former lawyer in Clanton, who three years earlier became a local legend when he stole money from his clients, divorced his wife, filed for bankruptcy, and left his family in the middle of the night, never to be heard from again—until now. Now Mack is back, and he’s leaning on his old pals, Jake and Harry Rex, to help him return. His homecoming does not go as planned.

I usually enjoy John Sandford, but this story just dragged on and on.
The narrator was good, but didn't care for his Arabic/French accent.

Loved the strong, young and female heroine.
Speaks about both sides of a timely issue that seems to be dividing America, illegal immigration. This is accomplished without being "preachy."

interesting theories about people changing. Hard to attach belief to any such theories.
The narrator never let up with trying to keep intrigue in the story; too intense on an on-going basis. I thought it was just an average narration.
