Historia
It's been 30 years since the apocalypse and 15 years since the murder of the last human being at the hands of robots. Humankind is extinct. Every man, woman, and child has been liquidated by a global uprising devised by the very machines humans designed and built to serve them. Most of the world is controlled by an OWI - One World Intelligence, the shared consciousness of millions of robots uploaded into one huge mainframe brain.

Wonderfully detailed adventure...
Revisado: 08-21-21
...with robots!
This story was a lucky find, and I couldn’t be more happy with the results. The concept is refreshing, the story is well written, full of amazing language and very detailed description.
I can very easily see this becoming a movie. In fact, I wonder who has the book rights?

Enjoyable, but I think I could have done without.
Revisado: 12-20-20
I was really looking forward to this. I loved RP1 - it was unique in the way it brought you in to a world and let you experience things that are just outside of our technical grasp. Problem with the Ready Player Two - you can't be unique twice.
Sometimes it felt like Cline was writing to satisfy the personal interests of his friends and family buy diving too deep on the wrong parts of popular culture.
It was fluffy and overly sweet at points.
If you LOVED RP1, you will probably like this but be a little let down.
if you just KINDA enjoyed RP1, you won't come away with a great feeling about RP2.
If you didn't really enjoy RP1, you should probably pick a different book.

Wonderful survey of early SciFi
Revisado: 05-30-18
I found it fascinating to read these stories today (2018) and to think of the forethought required to write them in the 1920s or 1930s. So many of them still ring true today.
Enjoyable pieces.

Refreshingly different perspective...
Revisado: 05-08-18
Being written in the 1970s gives this book a grounding in the past from which to project "future concepts" that are enjoyably relavant. Being a story about the people involved in time dilation it is minimally war based and I found that to be quite enjoyable.
Give this book a shot, you won't be let down.
