Historia
Islam is often associated with and limited to the worst of the world—extremism, obscurantism, misogyny, bigotry. So why would so many people associate with such a fundamentalist faith? Two Billion Caliphs advocates for a way of being Muslim in the world, ready for today and prepared for tomorrow.

“…a moment of contemplation… is worth 70 years in prayer”
Revisado: 05-10-22
I often say that writers have a way of writing the book that I am searching for. This time Haroon Moghul was that author.
The book, read by the author here on audible was like listening to poetry. The author has a talent beyond belief of keeping the attention of someone who is generally not interested in reading a book primarily about religion.
This book, published in 2022, will serve as a beacon for the generations to come. For those who could not accept the answer “…because Quran says so…”. For those who have a deep affiliation with Islam but they cannot explain why. For those who suffer the silent pain of agnosticism, and want to move on in life.

So unfair to Kelly McGonigal
Revisado: 12-16-20
Why is this book read by a man?? Was audible short of women narrators?? It is a disgrace. I can’t engage with this gem of a book because I can’t picture a woman author’s book being read by a man. Very very irritating and irresponsible of Audible to do this.

Historia
If you struggle with binge eating, emotional eating, stress eating, or if you repeatedly manage to lose weight only to gain it all back, you may be approaching things with the wrong mindset. Most contemporary thought on overeating and bingeing focuses on healing and self-love. But people who've overcome food and weight issues often report it was more like capturing and caging a rabid dog than learning to love their inner child.

Two crucial demons captured forever by this book
Revisado: 08-08-19
2 things more than all the other things.
1~ The book says that there is a pig inside you that is asking you to binge and the goals of this pig are all opposite of the goals that you have for yourself. Then he hilariously mocks the pig throughout the book.
2~ This is the first time anyone eased my anxiety about quitting some things for good. Being a psychologist, he equated ‘never’ with things we already do as humans. Like marriage means you just signed up ‘never’ to be with another person😄. Meaning that we already have these things in our life and we don’t detest them.

What will you write with your pen of light?
Revisado: 08-26-18
...and you shall receive. I have been very sick lately with a skin reaction to some drug or food. Before this I had never really noticed that I have skin on my body. Now I know every mole on it by exact location. It has been tough quitting every medication (never had too many to start with , never started a new one in past 3 years) including my levothyroxine and take bursts of prednisone (4 times since April). So far after quitting and restarting and everything else, we don’t know what I am allergic to. I have gained at least 5 pounds and my body is swollen to make it look as if I have gained 10. My entire wardrobe is quick buys from amazon right now. My mind is so cloudy with all this that I am re-evaluating whether I am useful enough to continue my job.
I somehow came across this book not knowing how much emotional uplift it will bring to my ‘skin-aware’ life. The first words of standing up straight came as music to my ears as I was battling the worst of hives waiting for the prednisone cocktail to take effect, only to find out that I won’t be able to sleep for weeks at a time. After listening to the whole 14+ hours of Dr. Peterson’s musical voice, I am positive that I’ll heal. On the way of healing (thanks to Dr. Peterson) I am consciously appreciating the discoveries I am making like the need to throw away 3/4 of my belongings, walking about 5 miles a day and aiming for 10, and thanking the disease for making me shed a lot of body insecurities that I didn’t know I had.
