There are a few god reviews about this book as well as the narrator, I don't get it. I should have listened to the sample. Her voice, especially when speaking as the main character sounds like a small child. The story DRAGS on and on and... I tried, I got through about half and then quit. I RARELY never finish a book. This one is a waste of time. Maybe because it's her first? I'm currently listening to Golden earrings and enjoying it and Tuscan Rose was worth a second listen. Cant believe its the same author.

Great story. Narrator talked a mile a minute. No idea why others say she’s good. I like to listen more than once but no way with this one. Could barely finish it.

What didn’t you like about Rosalyn Landor’s performance?
The attempt at portraying male and child voices was grating to listen to. Couldn't finish listening. The sample listen is the introduction. Not characters.
