The Permanent Voice on Your Shoulder
Revisado: 03-14-19
Michael Mogill tells the truth about legal marketing. News flash - it's not what you'll hear from a Bar Association or the old guard of your local area. Attorneys are taught nothing about marketing in law school. Even in practice, senior attorneys have little time to teach the associates or junior partners how to build their own book of business. Make no mistake, you can be the best, most proficient, and certified attorney in any specialty you choose. If no one knows about you though, you'll be wondering how to put food on your table. The marketplace is swamped with businesses attempting to get your attention. How can you compete?
In this book, Michael tells you how much of an advantage you have with the Internet. There is no panacea. With the right strategy that is planned out before it begins, any attorney can take on the established practitioners - and win. Yes, the focus of this book will be on the use of video in your marketing plan. Video is just one part of the entire marketing package. After listening to this book, you will have a game plan on how to build your firm through proven marketing strategies that work for any practice area.
I've been using these strategies at my firm for the past year that I've been working with Michael. Our growth has skyrocketed. Our average case value has increased by 5x-10x depending on the practice area. We are continuing to grow.
Success is not a zero sum game. Attorneys know that most of the market is actually underserved with respect to legal assistance. Break out of the mold, be bold, and start listening to this book. Your bottom line will thank you.

Military Leadership 101
Revisado: 11-16-18
This is a quality book. For people who have never been exposed to the principles of military leadership they will likely find this to be a treasure trove of information. The authors experiences in Iraq are noteworthy and valuable. Their ability to translate those experiences to the business world show depth of thought. If you’ve had military leadership training at the NCO Level or above, this book is a review.
Perhaps it is the overall brevity of the book or significant editing, but there is no magic wand to leadership. Some of the stories for the business application should have a time period described to them. This would make the comprehension about implementation of the leadership skills more understandable.
The war stories are well-described and full of tension. Things don’t always work out in the end either. Editing would have improved this book because some of the same incidents are used for different teaching purposes. Thus, rehashing the same story, in full, gets repetitive.
This book will be added to my class curriculum as “additional reading.” There are some amazing gems in here, though you may want to grab the library’s copy instead.

What made the experience of listening to Thrawn (Star Wars) the most enjoyable?
The narrator's separate and distinct voices, accents, and even mannerisms for all of the characters. No two characters had the same sound.
What did you like best about this story?
That Grand Admiral Thrawn is back in the canon Star Wars Universe. Timothy Zahn does a fantastic job of incorporating his iconic character into the present day stories.
Which character – as performed by Marc Thompson – was your favorite?
Grand Admiral Thrawn was wonderful to listen to as commander, instructor, student, and detective.

Historia
A news-breaking memoir revealing the secret, high level negotiations that could soon transform the map of the Middle East. Why would a sitting head of state choose to write about the most explosive issues he faces? King Abdullah does so now because he believes we face a moment of truth: a last chance for peace in the Middle East. The prize is enormous; the cost of failure far greater than we dare imagine.

Lessons in history and leadership
Revisado: 03-31-15
This book was a random find in audible's library. The king provides excellent insight and behind-the-scenes facts regarding numerous different geopolitical events that Jordan has been a part of for the last 50 years. Additionally, the king relates his efforts to modernize and find a balance between religion and secularism in his country. There are many stories of how the King has worked to build social and economic institutions in Jordan; as well as, ensure that the bureaucracy performs for its people instead of the other way around. much of the foreign policy focus has to do with the Israeli – Palestinian conflict. Regardless of which side a person might support, the king advocates for a two – state solution, Which he believes will most quickly advance the anti-takfiri (terrorist) efforts. This is a book well worth the listen.
