Historia
Fixie Farr has always lived by her father’s motto: “Family first.” And since her dad passed away, leaving his charming housewares store in the hands of his wife and children, Fixie spends all her time picking up the slack from her siblings instead of striking out on her own. The way Fixie sees it, if she doesn’t take care of her father’s legacy, who will?

Could have been good but the narrator’s voice sounded s not for me
Revisado: 02-20-25
The story seemed like it could have been good. I just couldn’t get past the narrator’s voice. I tried to change the volume the speed and just couldn’t get past the narrator’s voice. Too high pitched and nasally for me. My hearing is sensitive. If there was a way to lower the voice I would have definitely kept listening.
At least it was a 2-1 credit but still sucks to waste a book.

Historia
Lt. Grayson Masters is focused on graduating from the Apache helicopter course, and the last thing he needs is his gorgeous new roommate Samantha Fitzgerald distracting him. While her smart mouth and free spirit are irresistibly irritating, he can't deny their off-the-charts chemistry. Having just been expelled from college, Sam has no business digging for Grayson's secrets while she's hiding her own, but that doesn't stop her from trying to tear down his walls. Each barrier she busts through drops one of her own, though, and she's not prepared for the truth....

Not my favorite performance
Revisado: 01-01-25
I’m a fan of RY books. However it was really tough to listen to the female narrator. The editing in this book was also choppy. The sound balance was definitely off and you could tell when words/lines were edited.

Historia
Celebrity cooking show host Marni McGuire has seen it all. She’s been married—twice—and widowed and divorced. Now in her mid-fifties, she’s single. Happily so. She just needs to convince her pregnant daughter, Bella, of this fact. And maybe convince herself, too. Especially after Marni’s efforts to humor her determined daughter result in a series of disastrous dates that somehow prompt Marni to wonder if maybe the right man for her is still out there after all.

Slow and uninteresting
Revisado: 07-11-24
I love Robyn’s books but this one just seemed dull and slow. The leaps from beginning to end for each character just seemed so less detailed and a bit lazy. This was not something I would recommend

Historia
This book contains autobiographies by 12 individuals of Korean descent. However, their background experiences are vastly different. The editor of the book, Ariel Raimundo Choi, was born in Argentina and is still a citizen of Argentina; therefore, he considers himself a Hispanic-Korean-American. Ye One Chung grew up most of her life in Israel, so she considers Israel as her home. She writes a part of her autobiography in modern Hebrew, a language Ye One Chung is fluent at.

New narrator please

I couldn’t even get past the first chapter. The narrator’s voice is grating and reads with zero feeling. It’s like she is reading the dictionary.
