Historia
Phoebe Pyncheon hasn’t had an easy life. Alone and out of work, she does her best to make ends meet while she finishes her debut novel. But when even the monthly rent becomes too much for the struggling young writer to afford, she is forced to move into her Great Aunt Hester’s boarding house. Known as the House of Seven Gables, this Victorian mansion is a maze of decrepit halls, musty old furniture, and faded glamour. At first, Phoebe feels at home in the strange, quirky old house. But soon she senses a presence lurking in the shadows, just out of sight.

Poorly written, Millennial whining disguised in a coat of generic “horror”
Revisado: 05-03-24
What a waste of time. It’s beyond clear that the author doesn’t know or understand anything about witchcraft or ceremonial magick. She mixes peaceful Wiccan ceremony and symbology with fantastical “horror” type magic. It’s almost as if she just did a Google search for “witch” and started throwing in everything she found.
If that’s not bad enough, you can’t get past Chapter 2 before the author starts complaining about older generations hating Millennials and being creepy and only interested in sex. Oh, add a dash of bitching about student loans and you have all the makings of a generic garbage story.
Unfortunately everyone who has a pen and paper isn’t meant to be an author. Hopefully the author has some skills to fall back on, because “writing ain’t it, chief.”
