loved it. favorite part was in the beginning while vasya was masquerading as a boy on her stallion. very fun. also loved the relationship between vasya and morosko. enjoyed the twist. dimitri was even better than expected. overall great

this book is in a really niche area of interest, one that I'm not sure was for me. nevertheless, I greatly enjoyed listening. probably will not pick up the second book. maybe.

never captivated me

I loved cashore's previous trilogy but I found this a little hard to get into. the five different narratives were a bit repetitive and, although interesting and unique on their own, my attention wasn't focused on the book enough. I struggle to finish this book when I normally would want to devour it. I will still buy any book that Kristin cashore writes in the future however. Maybe you would like this more than me. ivy, jasper and Ravi were the best. and umbrellas are something new for sure.

I need the next book now! such an amazing novel. a little heavy on the romance, and I wanted more of cassius and nova. I also wanted to know more about sly and her beliefs. how many kinds of storms are there? how many other cities? hopefully these will be answered in the upcoming novel.

wonderful writing and jawdropping performance. the voices were done very well, though it was difficult to tell some of the older men apart, naturally. I couldn't stop listening and was on the edge of my seat more than once. this will definitely not be my last book of Kate Quinn's

I really enjoyed this book. I only wish I connected with Shaun more. his character felt so closed off to me. I felt like I didn't know him at all. finn could have been given more presence. it was hard to tell some of the sisters apart, like dory and Elizabeth. the ending with mut felt a bit empty. not terrible but not satisfying either. overall a decent book. fantastic performance by narrators
