Great story But....

This series is a great story BUT I've listened to all 4 available books each on over 20 hours and they have only progressed the Story a few months at most. books 2-3 span it seems a few days. Every conversation is so over done it takes 15-minutes of story just to finish any basic decisions. You can actually forward the story minutes at a time ( I have many times) and not miss a single thing. So while I am interested in the story I am not sure that I will be following it further. At this pace it will be decades to finish and possibly hundreds of books. Can't see anyway around it unless the author changes his writing style or he gets a true editor.

listen to the reviews it is Fantastic

I got this one because I just got done with Primal Hunter 5 and between the title and the reviews saying it was a funny take on a cultivation trope I said sure let's try it out. I'm not sure the reviews do it justice. Maybe it is just me but it was fantastic. The narrator was also excellent I was laughing and even wiping my eyes more than a few times. Yes I'll admit it. It is a funny and beautiful story.

While the pretext is a Thriller/Mystery/Suspense this series is far from that. If your looking for a Mitch rapp or the Greyman type of series this is also not it. I have nothing against LBTQ elements in a book, but this is way too much for a book categorized as Thriller/Mystery/Suspense. If this was in the Romance/gay porn section then I could see it. At least 75% of the first book was a gay porn romance novel using a backdrop of 25% trying to be a thriller.

I finished the first book hoping all of that was just to setup the rest of the series to show really how deeply in love they were and now the thriller will start. Well I made it, 2 or 3 hours into book 2 and it is more of the same.

Had this been in a different section of the store and I wanted to buy a romance novel with a thriller element then this would be an excellent choice However, I was looking for the next thriller series and this is definitely NOT it.

WTF Scott did Steve put you up to this? This was book 6! for 5 of them you have been saying Ms. Vitt's name one way and now for some reason you've changed it. Since this book is centered on her and you say the name 100's of times it is even more annoying. 5 books calling her Cassiopeia not we start pronouncing it Cassyo pia. Grrrr... kind of ruined the book for me. I tried not to be annoyed but everytime you said it that way it just made me loose focus on what they were saying and think about how annoying it was.......

I Enjoyed the story as I did the other books, but their attempts to add more made it almost un-listen-able for me and at the very least very annoying. Adding in the background noise, sometimes dragging on for an entire chapter drove me crazy. This effect is even worse if you happen to listen with headphones. You want to add some sound effects sure, the sound effects were not that bad and added to the story, but having sound effects, that incessant back ground crap and trying to listen to the narrator is just too much. Still contemplating whether I am going to return that one.....

Reading the reviews is sometime hilarious. I know I am still going to be annoyed by the 5 minute character sheet reads, adjust a few stats right back into another 5 minute character sheet read. That is absolutely horrible and probably annoys a Lot of people.
That being said I am just purchasing book 8 right so I guess it wasn't annoying enough to keep me from finishing the series.

One of the reviews by Kindle Customer titled "a great story" who is reading a science fiction Litrpg book complaining about the science? magical coding and spells are cool with them but not how they handle Hydrogen. LOL!! BTW, from reading the review I dont see the issue with the science. Hydrogen is/can be solid, it is one of the lowest density solids. Yeah you have to get it down to −434.45 °F for it to be a solid but I don't see an issue with that on another planet. I guess I will have to listen to the book to figure out what the gripe is, cause from the review that is exactly how Hydrogen works or could work.

I will update the review after the listen is over. Can't wait to start

love this series. cannot wait for others in the series to hit audiobook. As a retired military person, I love Eric and Rugrats humanity, will and perseverance in growing their abilities while bringing up others to their full potential.
