got boring and annoying

the character background changes to fit whatever going on. Had a point going off about how irl he would fight bullies all the time, just to explain later he is no front line fighter. Just to much flip flopping. most annoying his mc attitude always complaining and half assing everything while saying how important his goal is.

Constant pity party

got real tired of constant pity party the mc goes through. mc: why do my minions suck. also mc never improves or works on improving them or practicing.

mc: i don't wanna force people. then pity party why did they die by me letting them do what they want.

mc: i need to hurry, then mc i should take a break and try magic.

These hypocritical actions and thoughts keep happening constantly and made it really annoying to keep listening.

inconsistant

Characters motives, relationships, emotions and actions are just inconstant to the personality writer is trying to give. Constantly speaking about MC being in control of emotions and logic over ruling them, trying to make the character seem like one of those high intelligence types but fails in most logic options. To sum up a section MC explains how he isn't attracted to anyone and never had those romantic feelings and suddenly oh this person asked me out he is hot. Just very bad inconstant character progression.

MC makes same mistakes constantly

I get tired of the MC be portrayed as a badass but constantly hesitates or second guesses decisions or his own words in high risk situations. Its a constant string of, I should of, I know I should of, leading to some issue where he is in danger cause he choose not to act or hesitated. The I had this guy dead to rights 2 times after he tried to kill me but I still didn't do anything and had to be saved by random towns people is stupid. Especially when he is given the kill shot after they do all the work just doesn't make sense in the world writer trying to make.

last two books feel rushed

book 3 feels rushed to finish. much shorter then other books in series. inconsistent story. key thing in book 3 about a character is different then in book one when event occurred.

audio issues

annoying audio issues, muffled audio at times and going back to clear throughout the book broke the immersion.

story was fine, some fun dialog with mc being snarky at times. but happens so often it becomes annoying.

also mc likes going on political, ethic and religious tangents that is annoying and does nothing for actual story.

So so, hard to follow at times.

Its a bit hard to follow, as well as alien description isn't that great and progresses quickly over them. Some actions characters take don't seem to make sense.
