As always, K.L. Slater doesn’t disappoint. I have read all of her books and they have me hooked right from the beginning. There are always the well loved twists and turns and gasps as with all the others I’ve read. She is definitely one of my favorite authors. I discovered her because of Lucy’s narration, and although I miss her so much, this narrator did an amazing job. If you’ve never read a Slater book then you’re missing out and should definitely give her a go. Already looking forward to the next one. P.s. I suck at writing reviews so I hope this one isn’t too bad lol.

I’ve read (and own) every book that Frieda has written to date, but this one was not my favorite.
It’s totally worth a read or listen tho.

Omg the narration

This book was a little hard to keep up with in the beginning. I had to rewind a few times but it kept me hooked from the beginning. I would definitely recommend.

CHECK BEFORE YOU BUY!!

This is the second time that this has happened to me. They announce a new book by your favorite author, put a new narrator and a fancy new cover but it’s not new! I already had this book in my library. Different cover and narrator. Now I can’t get a refund because I paid actual money for it and didn’t use a credit. I didn’t pay attention and that was my fault but it should be wrong for them to do this. This is a good book and I love The author and narrator. It was better than the first but I’m livid that I was tricked into buying a “new” version of the same book.

I’m very disappointed that Lucy price Lewis is not the narrator for this one. I was waiting to read on my kindle until the audible version was released just for that reason. I just started so we’ll see how it goes. I know the book is gonna be amazing (I own all of KL Slaters books) she’s an amazing author. Will update when I’ve finished.


Ok, so I finally finished and gotta say that I didn’t enjoy this one as much as the others. It was good but maybe would’ve enjoyed more if I read myself rather than listening. I wasn’t a fan of the narrator.

Worth It!

I honestly think this is the best book I’ve ever read. I love everything by Ruth Ware but this one just really gripped me. I didn’t want it to end and I just fell in love with Hal. Imogen Church really gave an outstanding performance (as she always does).
