Historia
In this stunning audiobook, Malcolm Gladwell takes us on an intellectual journey through the world of "outliers" - the best and the brightest, the most famous, and the most successful. He asks the question: What makes high-achievers different? His answer is that we pay too much attention to what successful people are like, and too little attention to where they are from: That is, their culture, their family, their generation, and the idiosyncratic experiences of their upbringing.

An intellectual but incredibly insightful perspective
Revisado: 11-08-17
An amazing and insightful perspective on how various factors shape and afford successful people opportunities to achieve. This may be the best book that I’ve heard in a few years. Gladwell has incredible understanding of how history and statistical processes shape ones life and opportunity.

Historia
After waking from a coma following a car crash, Beverly Thornton's once sweet and gentle disposition had been replaced by violent mood swings, profanity-laced tirades, and uncontrollable fits of rage. Inside the Thornton house, floors and countertops were piled high with dirty laundry and garbage because Bev was unable to move well enough to clean. Dinners were a Russian roulette of half-cooked meat, spoiled milk, and foods well past their expiration dates.

Vulnerable and Inspiring
Revisado: 03-26-17
Thank, Pastor Shawn, for sharing your pain, your challenges, your victories and your inspiration. It was a poignant reminder of God's grace, love and ultimately His plan to impact all of us by the life of Beverly Thornton and family.
With great admiration and thanks...

Historia
The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives. Every day the same. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.

Excruciating detail, moments of excitement
Revisado: 06-15-15
The story overall was intriguing, but it dragged through hours of self deprecating internal monologue from the main character.
Drama disguised as a thriller.
Yawn.
