Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
If Outlaw biker gangs are brought up in a conversation, I would. Otherwise it's not one I would just tell anyone about.
Have you listened to any of Jeff Hays’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes. Very comparable. I really enjoyed his narrations for Stress Patterns and Interstate Dreams. Some folks in the reviews before me commented about how he made the Outlaws and in particular, Junior sound young and immature. I suggest you check out interviews with Junior on youtube. Junior really sounds like that. Not like the gravel macho voice you would expect from a man that looks the very image of an dangerous outlaw biker.
What else would you have wanted to know about Scott Junior Ereckson’s life?
This book spends a lot of time on minor events and glancing over the major ones. I don't know if Junior simply didn't want to share more, couldn't remember more because of drugs or club loyalty.

Metaphor's Galore
Revisado: 01-31-15
What disappointed you about Viking Warrior?
Overuse of Metaphors. To many Like this.. Like That...
Modern Terms, Language, and Slang distract from the fact that this is a Viking story. Characters go on long winded monologues.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Mistborn- Brandon Sanderson narrated by Michael Kramer
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
Slow narrative, rushed dialogue.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment. I liked the narrator in other work.

Historia
The essence of a truly null-Earth logic may never be as clearly defined as in this novel-length package of interplanetary surprises. Ride The Wormway To No-Wonderland. Consider this marooned astronaut. His spaceship and supplies are swallowed in one gulp by something from beneath the featureless plain of an unknown world.

Heinlein contemporary and a great narrator
Revisado: 11-05-14
What made the experience of listening to Stress Pattern the most enjoyable?
The story is a offbeat tale of a Castaway on a foreign planet. Story was engaging and moved at a good pace. Reminds me strongly of Robert Heinlein's work (which I love).
Who was your favorite character and why?
Remak- the character tho curious struggles with understanding Andrew (our Castaway) yet evolves into a warm caring hero.
What does Jeff Hays bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Hays narration was a little on the dry side. Not a bad thing, and I believe to be intentional and reflects the main character's personality.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Remak and the New Person.
