I was lucky to receive an Advanced Listener Copy. Let me tell you, this audio if HOT! If you love a possessive MMC, then Nikolai is the man for you. Cassiopeia is strong enough to realize when to take the help she's being offered. She may be his captive, but she's a willing one. Nikolai, aka Mute, may be silent, but his actions speak volumes. It's impossible not to fall for these two.
Jason Clarke gives our alpha male the perfect amount of grit and growl and his Russian narration is melt-worthy. Celestine Wolf was a new to me narrator and I'm looking forward to listening to more from her. She had the perfect combination of strong and emotional. The blending of both narrator's performances was captivating right from the start and I didn't want this book to end. I cannot wait for Book 2 in the Forgotten Boys series!

I love it when the truth comes out early in a book instead of it being the thing that causes a 3rd act breakup! I'll admit, I was worried when Cole kept his online identity a secret from Mia and when Mia didn't tell Cole her connection to Gracie. But, I should know better than to think G.A. would make that the focus of the book. Instead, we get a story about two people with so much respect for those around them that they want to make sure their relationship is real before revealing it to the world.

Cole is such a golden retriever boyfriend - happy, willing and eager to please. You can't help but to want all the best things for him. Mia has had it hard, but she's strong and willing to put in the work to improve her situation. I love the amount of respect between the characters right from the start, it's what made me root so hard for them.

As in New York Stars Book #1 (End Game), the world building here was fantastic. We got our first glimpse of Pigeon Creek and got to revisit the Five Points and Satan's Sinners. Also, like in Book #1, the text banter between everyone was one of my favorite parts of the book.

Aaron Shedlock had the perfect voice for Colt, I can absolutely imagine him as a Golden Retriever. CJ Bloom was outstanding as Mia, I love how dynamic her voice can be.

I love the way G.A. (Serena) writes. The banter in this book is A+. I couldn't get enough of the voice notes and text messages.

I love how G.A. writes a strong female character with just the right amount of emotion to not make her seem overbearing or unrealistic. Gracie is self-determined, she knows what she wants and she's not afraid to go for it. Liam is happy to go on the journey with her - he doesn't think his career is more important. While he has his own emotional baggage, he is determined to show up for Gracie in a way no one else in her life ever does. For that, he's one of my favorite books boyfriends in a long time.

As always, the world building here is top notch. I'll never not be amazed by how G.A. is able to intertwine her different series and I'm so happy we get to revisit old friends, while meeting a host of new ones.

I love anything narrated by Teddy Hamilton, so him being cast as Liam felt perfect. Samantha Brentmoor gave Gracie that perfect amount of edginess to her voice. Both narrators gave great performances.

How is this a debut novel?! Ariel knocked it out of the park with this story. It’s intense, it’s sweet, it’s deranged, it’s everything you could ever ask for in a dark romance. The fact that it doesn’t end in an HEA only enhances how absolutely brilliant this book is.

The audio performance of Joe Arden and Lee Daniels can only be described as next level. They are a perfect match in meeting each other emotion for emotion. They truly make you feel what these characters are going through. I can imagine no better voice actors for this book than the two that were chosen. Just fantastic.

This story, these characters, they are going to stay with me for a very long time.

Pidgeon Creek may be my new favorite place to visit in Canada! I just love the way G.A. has interwoven her worlds - getting glimpses into some our our favorite Sinners made me rather giddy. I loved meeting the new characters and getting familiar with the 7Cs Ranch. Zee and Colt have a beautiful history and their hate-to-love story will capture your heart. The narrators were fantastic, with Connor Crais being swoon-worthy as always. They truly brought this story to life. The only thing missing from this story is the Canadian accents. I've been to Saskatoon, I know what the folks there sound like :-)

I just finished listening to Filthy Sinner and I could not be more in love with Mary Cat and Digger! Serena Akeroyd has done it again with a crossover book in her Filthy Feckers and Satan's Sinners world. I adored the trip down memory lane with some of our favorite Irish Mobsters.

Mary Cat is a strong, independent woman who refuses to let her father control her future. She seeks solace in Digger, who has a dark past, but a heart of gold. It is impossible not to cheer for these two and their HEA.

Joe Arden is (as always) great as Digger, but it's Samantha Brentmoor's narration of Mary Cat that steals the show.

"Yesterday had only been our beginning and now, we had a tomorrow."

The final book in Serena's Five Points series does not disappoint! I don't know if I've ever read anyone who can create such and intricate and intertwined world the way Serena can. It's always hard to say goodbye to characters we've spent so much time with, but Star and Connor and the rest of the O'Donnelly clan get the send off they deserve.

Filthy Truth picks up right where Filthy Lies left off. It's action packed from beginning to end and keeps you guessing what truth is going to be uncovered next. I also found there was a lot of humor in this book, the interactions between the O'Donnelly brothers, the sisters-in-law and the numerous text message exchanges kept a smile on my face throughout my listen.

I listened to the audio version of this book and again, Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell are perfection as Connor and Star. They brought their A-game to each and every scene; nailing the accents, differentiating between one character and another, and truly making you feel all of the emotions conveyed in the story.

Hopefully we're only saying goodbye "for now" and not goodbye "forever" to the O'Donnellys!

I want to start by saying, thank goodness for the prologue which seemed to solely serve the purpose of reminding us all that had happened in the first 7 books. For those of us that waited for the audio before diving into the final duet, it's been a minute since we've been emersed in the 5 Points world.

Serena has created such an amazing and intertwined story that just keeps you wondering what's going to happen next. I will say, that at times, the story gets a bit convoluted and I had a slightly difficult time following the main plot and the multitude of side plots. But, like a true master creator, Serena brings it all together in the end. And what an ending this book has! I couldn't wait to dive into Filthy Truth, Book 2 of this duet!

It's no surprise that Joe Arden and Maxine Michell absolutely nail this narration. Both of their Russian accents were so good, I sometimes forgot there wasn't a 3rd or 4th narrator.

Lastly, prepare yourselves, Chapter 48 is 🔥🌶️🥵

And leave me wanting many more from her in the future.

I listened to the audiobook version of The Intern and, let me tell you, you don't want to miss this.

The audio incudes a note from the author discussing the use of derogatory language and apologizing if that leads some folks to have a negative review of the story. While the words used were jarring, I felt they were used sparingly and only as a way to covey a character's intent and move the story along. I felt Serena took great care with these words. That being said, this book deals with some heavy topics, so check your trigger warnings!

The story starts with a bang, literally! You get a sense of who Devlin and Micah are right from the jump and they only grow on you from there. Serena has a way of painting a scene with words and sucking you right into the world she's created. Devlin is such an endearing character, you can't help but fall in love with his earnestness. Micah is strong and knows what he wants, despite losing everything to get it. Their story is alternately heartbreaking and heartwarming and you'll find yourself just wanted to wrap them both up in hugs.

I'd be remiss not to talk about the outstanding narration by Jacob Morgan and Joe Arden in their first dual performance together. Jacob's British accent was superb and they both do such a great job with, not only each other's voices, but with the side characters as well. I forgot, at times, that this wasn't duet.

Nicholas does not start out as a good guy. He's just not. But give him a chance to grow on you, you won't be sorry. Phoebe is hard working, determined and already stronger than any young college student should be. The way she handles Nicholas, the way she allows their love to bloom is just beautiful to read. In the end, I was cheering for them all the way.
Joe Arden and Lessa Lamb are perfect in their narration, really bringing these characters to life. I'm not sure I'd feel the way I do about Nicholas if it wasn't for the narration.
