A great story. Hurt by vulgarities.

Duerdan made this book come alive with her wonderful vocalizations of the many characters.. Author tried too hard to display his knowledge of offensive words. It did not add anything to the story. Daniel may grow up in later efforts. Hopefully!

What did you love best about Imago?
The narrator's ability to vocally enliven the written word through the series was incomparable.
If you’ve listened to books by Octavia E. Butler before, how does this one compare?
Imago doesn't equal its first two books in the series. They were compelling "page turners". The performance was great but the story line was a bit tired.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Would you try another book from the authors and/or Cathy Dobson?
No, while all of the authors are enticing, Dobson's performance, however, is not.
What did you like best about this story?
Silent pauses without her dramatics. Gave my ears a rest.
How could the performance have been better?
.... even in the performance! Dobson was stretched beyond her limits.
Was Great American Short Stories worth the listening time?
No.
