Historia
After Eric Davis spent over 16 years in the military, including a decade in the SEAL teams, his family was more than used to his absence on deployments and secret missions that could obscure his whereabouts for months at a time. Without a father figure in his own life since the age of 15, Eric was desperate to maintain the bonds he'd fought so hard to forge when his children were young - particularly with his son, Jason, because he knew how difficult it was to face the challenge of becoming a man on one's own.

For absolutely clueless deadbeat dads
Revisado: 04-22-24
I’ve been trying to listen to this book all week. It’s literally painful. I was hoping for something like Jocko Willink with great advice and captivating stories. This book is seemingly written for dad’s who are completely clueless and have no idea how to show up for their families. Parts of it are a little bit melodramatic and traumatized.and the use of the F word is excessive

Due to the fact that so much information in this book has now been censored, which the author anticipated, it was written quickly. “Freedom For Hawaii Is Freedom For Us All…” "When humans cannot win on a fair playing field, they use fire, and they use fire to destroy an old appropriation of land and reappropriate it to a new use. ...as much as Maui may or may not be the sum of a series of ...

Historia
Mostly Americans need to take a fresh look at ourselves. To do that we need to apply critical thinking, add some skepticism, and be willing to replace answers with questions. Compiled from a decade of writings and contemplation, and further aided by a forty-year career in the world of business dealing with hundreds of companies, this book represents a synthesis between the theoretical and the empirical. Each chapter stands entirely on its own, but each stands stronger when joined with the others. The author’s goal is simply to have the listener challenge their preconceived notions.

A blueprint for peaceful interpersonal relationships…
Revisado: 04-19-24
This book is a sort of manual that will help you identify language patterns that have been propagandized into your brain… And how to change them. The result will be a more peaceful life and a more powerful presence, not just among your peers, but in your political understanding and power.

Historia
We live in a world obsessed with drinking. We drink at baby showers and work events, brunch and book club, graduations and funerals. Yet no one ever questions alcohol’s ubiquity—in fact, the only thing ever questioned is why someone doesn’t drink. It is a qualifier for belonging and if you don’t imbibe, you are considered an anomaly. As a society, we are obsessed with health and wellness, yet we uphold alcohol as some kind of magic elixir, though it is anything but.

Nonstop political rants takes away from story
Revisado: 03-11-24
The book is tethered to a great logical point if you can wade through continual hateful digs, victim mentality and political rhetoric. Author’s voice is very “valley girl,” nails on a chalkboard to me- girlish and not authoritative. Hard to take seriously. First chapter intro included too many sordid rabbit trails that take away from the potential healing power of the story to illustrate the dark soul of the author and underlying hatred that still consumes her.

Historia
Since he was a small boy, Mosab Hassan Yousef has had an inside view of the deadly terrorist group Hamas. The oldest son of Sheikh Hassan Yousef, a founding member of Hamas and its most popular leader, young Mosab assisted his father for years in his political activities while being groomed to assume his legacy, politics, status...and power. But everything changed when Mosab turned away from terror and violence and embraced instead the teachings of another famous Middle East leader.

Among the most important books of our time
Revisado: 12-09-23
I have struggled with compassion and understanding for the various sides and struggles in the Middle East. I have learned so much through this book that is not covered with the news. I love seeing the human faces of the author’s family and feeling love for people who are oppressed and misunderstood. No one is on “God’s side” when there is reckless murder… And hatred. I don’t know if the conflict will ever be resolved In My lifetime but Yousef gives hope along with his warning.

Historia
The very strange but nevertheless true story of the dark underbelly of a 1960s hippie utopia. Laurel Canyon in the 1960s and early 1970s was a magical place where a dizzying array of musical artists congregated to create much of the music that provided the soundtrack to those turbulent times. But there was a dark side to that scene as well. Many didn't make it out alive, and many of those deaths remain shrouded in mystery to this day.

Revisado: 01-17-23
There wasn’t even time for prose! All the author could do was report details. They are sorted and disgusting. There is a link to Laurel Canyon to countless murders and crimes… And innumerable characters in Hollywood. This is shocking and courageous.

Great performance, stories…
Revisado: 01-04-23
Excellent performance by the author. I enjoyed hearing stories about him as a father and husband, as much as I enjoyed the stories about him as an executive. There were many poetic parts to the writing. The performance was excellent. The information is fairly straightforward and not at all scientific. Inspirational and lighthearted read.

Amid the internet boom of the mid-2000s, a band of entrepreneurs stood at the intersection of medicine, technology, and business. I also listened to the barefoot Spirit by Bonnie Harvey and Michael Houlihan, produced by Sherwood players.
There were moments I felt like I was in a real theater listening to this!
What a phenomenal performance by everybody involved.
You can tell that there was tremendous care in writing the screenplay and choosing the different sound effects.
There wasn’t a boring moment in the book and I listened to it in just one day.
very well done team!!
