Should have read it much earlier in my career!
Revisado: 05-25-10
If you have only one take-away from this book (and there are many great pearls), it is that positive reinforcement is determined by the result, not the intention. Just because you think it is a positive reinforcement or encoragement, in the eyes of the receiver, it might not feel that way. I wish I'd read it much, much earlier in my career.

Corny, but very well worth a listen
Revisado: 03-15-08
The concept was good. But a fiction writer this guy is not.
I think it is still worth listening to, however. Slywotzky is a great thinker. The format is actually useful. The ideas are eye-opening. It's hard to look at businesses from now on with out categorizing them. I highly recommend this book, and will be looking for more books from this author.

Very Useful Book with Hokey Title
Revisado: 01-30-08
Don't be fooled by the simplistic title. This is a very solid book. It's backed up by research studies. The thought process they take you through is very logical and useful. The concepts resonate with me. The concepts are useful. This book takes all of the good, useful, reputable fair negotiating abilities you've learned over the years and puts them into a clearly organized context that you can use for future growth.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! The best book I've read since Execution by Charam and Bossidy (sp?). I'm just sorry it took me so long to find it. I think the hokey title steered me away from it.
I'm recommending it to everyone.

Worthless
Revisado: 01-19-06
I was disappointed to have spent a credit on this. All they did was blabber on about their tapes, books, and consulting business.
On top of that, the audio quality was garbled and very hard to understand. The highest resolution available was a "2" when I usually get a "4."
I was waiting for them to get into the meat of it, and they talked about Standard American English or Network American English for about five minutes. That was OK. But only lasted FIVE MINUTES. After that, the "book" abruptly ended the after only about 45 minutes of total running time with another plug for their products.
I'd recommend that Audible de-list this one.
I expect better from Audible. My first negative experience in three years.
