Needle in a Haystack

I wish this author/speaker (this is NOT a book, but a series of lectures) would spend more time working on getting to the point of what his philosophy is. I respect that life is complex, I respect that thinking and writing is labor, but I do not accept a thesis that cannot be distilled down to a simple statement - and THEN unwrapped with metaphors, examples etc. In the mind of the speaker, his thesis must be simple, but for me, I don't see what he is trying to say/convey. I hope he reads this and I hope he takes some time on meditation WHAT he wants his listeners to get out of the experience. Compare this to books like "Outliers", where the synopsis is distilled down, but time is being spent on giving evidence and examples that opens your mind to what the author is trying to convey. I do like his stories/metaphors - they work. What does not work is the speakers seeming inability to convey what his thesis is. Perhaps it is just to disorganized? It is like a non edited text. It needs a few rounds of re-writing. Simplicity is hard. That is why it is desired.
