overall the book is great, in the first book Edgar seemed cool. and I had hopes he would become cooler. Sadly he is pathetic as a characte, and actively avoids the parts of the books he loves where violence was needed in favor of being a whimsical little bit** with power comes responsibility.

loved the simplicity of the story, with its contrite twists and turns.

did not like the use of literal deus ex machina to explain things. did not like that their is no character development, only character exploration. they don't change they just remember who they were, without why or any purposeful explanation as to why they are no longer that way. the book is literature written for a boardgame campaign. such that it gives me hope for creating a fan fiction D&D based book set in the planeswalkers universe of magic the gathering. if I didn't get this whole series for 1 credit. I doubt I would have listened to it.
would love to play a table top campaign written by the author. not so much interested in reading/listening to the story.
