Historia
How did Fidel Castro fool the CIA for a generation? Why did Neville Chamberlain think he could trust Adolf Hitler? Why are campus sexual assaults on the rise? Do television sitcoms teach us something about the way we relate to each other that isn't true? While tackling these questions, Malcolm Gladwell was not solely writing a book for the page. He was also producing for the ear. In the audiobook version of Talking to Strangers, you’ll hear the voices of people he interviewed - scientists, criminologists, military psychologists.

An interesting listen

I recommend listening to this book over reading it. The use of audio brings better life to each chapter and allowed me to better grasp what the book is about.

A unique read

This is one of the few books that I read as a child and I still return to reread it. I love how Lois Duncan is able to craft a world of paranormal in such realistic settings.

Definitely on my recommended list.

This was the first book by Lois Duncan that I read when I was around 10 or 11 years old. It hooked me then and I often return to re-read it. Lois Duncan has a way of making her characters (and their stories) feel realistic. More grounded despite some of the supernatural elements. A Gift of Magic is something that I would recommend if someone's looking for a novel about an ESP youth who experienced a happier life than the main character of Carrie.
