Historia
It was a mistake to trust him. Shivering and bruised, a teen wakes up on the side of a dirt road with no memory of how she got there—or who she is. The police don’t know where she came from until a frantic man arrives at the station. He’s been searching for her for hours. He has her school ID, her birth certificate, and even family photos.

Not the usual outcome
Revisado: 04-03-25
It has been so long since a book or movie has been able to get a real emotion out of me once finished, but this book managed to. It’s not the ending you’re expecting or want, but it makes it that much better.

Historia
Darby Thorne is a college student stranded by a blizzard at a highway rest stop in the middle of nowhere. She’s on the way home to see her sick mother. She’ll have to spend the night in the rest stop with four complete strangers. Then she stumbles across a little girl locked inside one of their parked cars. There is no cell phone reception, no telephone, no way out because of the snow, and she doesn’t know which one of the other travelers is the kidnapper.

Reviews are incorrect
Revisado: 03-09-23
I never pay attention to ratings on books bc the 5 star ones I heavily dislike and the disliked ones I love. The ending really had me for a bit, I even started tearing up but the last sentence… what a play!
The people who are complaining about the “gore” are weak and need not be listened too. Imagery from your imagination is what makes books so exciting.
I honestly don’t think it was as predictable as most are saying and feel this deserves a better rating.

Historia
Thirty-nine was a fantastic year. I was married to the man I loved. I had a body that worked without creaking. My grandma, who raised me, was still healthy, and life was pretty damned good. But as they say, all good things come to an end. One year later, I’m a widow. My joints are starting to ache. Gram is in the nursing home, and dead people think my home is some kind of supernatural bed-and-breakfast. Gluing body parts onto semi-transparent people has become a side job - deceased people I’m not even sure are actually there.

Title details do not describe enough…
Revisado: 02-05-23
I was disappointed when I started reading this as it’s about ghosts, good/evil, heaven/hell and everything in between i.e the Grim Reaper.
My first thought was to scrap the book but Daisy was so funny and easy to love, I finished it because of the humor.
Now, not knowing this was a sequel, I need to read more to finish the complete story.

Way to much emphasis on race
Revisado: 01-09-23
The individuals in this book are African American/Black and you will never forget it because it’s said every paragraph.
I don’t get it, I don’t like it, I don’t see the point of it except pointing out that was a family that was clearly racist.
Like, get over it already. Overdone.
And the stereotype of the talking from the older individuals was funny, but not funny in an “lol” kinda way.
Chill out with making race a personality.

What’s with all the descriptions?
Revisado: 09-21-22
I have to agree with another reviewer that in the beginning, the extra details and setting explanations really made it hard to concentrate.
I do not understand the additional descriptions as writing can help you with an image, tone and emotion already.
I disliked the descriptive narrations and felt they were redundant.

I'm not too proud to admit that finding Mr. Right involves swiping right. Right? Welcome to dating in avocado toastland. Here I am, on my first blind date, ever, courtesy of a smartphone app and my two annoying best friends. So what is Chris "Fletch" Fletcher doing, walking across the room, looking at his phone like he's pattern matching a picture to find a real person he's never met before? Oh. Oh, no. The guy I drop-kicked in seventh grade cannot be my blind date. The guy who earned me this infernal nickname.

Pathetic
Revisado: 08-27-19
Caleb was SO perfect it was pathetic; I couldn’t even finish the book.
Yes there are good guys, great kids and wonderful women out there but to have everyone be SO perfect is so far fetched it was sickening to the point it’s pathetic.

Jessica was not well written personality wise. She was way too dramatically sprung out. Robin makes every female have a high pitched voice which makes them seem aloof & plain old stupid.
