With her reputation endangered, her bank account on the verge of extinction, and her career at risk of going up in flames, Violet is desperate. When the opportunity to sell another vintage home materializes, she grabs it, even though this "haunted" house was recently the stage for a two-act murder-suicide tragedy.

Explicit sex
Revisado: 08-18-22
I enjoy this series but fast forward over the explicit sex scenes. They really aren't needed to support the story and I can handle that on my own without then included in my reading. A good author can elude to passion without actually saying it.

Historia
In an all-new novella in E.J. Copperman’s “funny, charming, and thoroughly enjoyable” ( Spinetingler Magazine) series, the storm of the century bears down on the haunted guesthouse, and stirs up a gale of memories for a troubled ghost. Haunted guesthouse owner Alison Kerby may have only recently discovered her ability to communicate with ghosts, but for her mother Loretta, it’s been a lifelong gift.

one gripe
Revisado: 03-28-21
I'm enjoying this series and the narration is great. My only gripe is the use of the word migraine in place of swear words. I don't care for swear words either but there might have been a better substitution if it had to be used at all. On to the next in the series... like I said, it was a minor irritation.

Narrator Ruined the Story
Revisado: 03-22-21
I have listened to ALL previous books in this series. I didn't get finished before my Audible membership was over so I renewed it just to keep listening. i am VERY disappointed that the narrator changed! She ruined the story for me with her dopey accents and character portrayal. Her voice sounds like the comedian Jane Lynch and she made the story sound like a comedy. Of course she is the narrator in the remaining books in the series. I won't listen to the rest.

Historia
The cold, blustery Midwest winters don't exactly agree with Betsy Devonshire, but since moving to Excelsior, Minnestoa, she sure has met a lot of warm, friendly people. So she isn't too surprised when the town's most talented needleworkers volunteer to restore a damaged tapestry that was found in the basement of a local church. Betsy even offers to donate materials for the project, thinking that the free publicity will boost sales at her financially troubled needlecraft shop. But soon Betsy is afraid of losing more than her business....

Paint your toes. Pick up the wrong coffee and bagel order. Drive from Brooklyn to Jersey in traffic so slow you want to tear your hair out. It’s amazing all the useless things I can accomplish while on hold for three hours with customer service. Three hours when I should be getting the Date-in-a-Box website ready to launch at the big business expo in a few days. Except my shiny new website is glitching, and my inner rage-monster is ready to scorch some earth...when he finally picks up. Not the robot voice I expected but a real live human named Kal.

Fluff
Revisado: 03-03-21
I don't mind a fluffy mystery, and I love dogs, but the narrator did a terrible job. The female characters all sounded like dumb "valley girls" and the Male characters sounded like idiots.

Not worth my time
Revisado: 03-02-21
I love time travel but I struggled to finish this story. I made it through but barely. Nothing about it kept my attention. Characters are shallow. There was no real storyline or climax... and the ending was non-existant. The narrator may have been part of the problem. She made the story more of a comedy to me. I can't recommend this book.
