I did not see that one coming!
Revisado: 07-05-23
Loved this book. Not your typical bodice ripper. There's a real story, a murder, a mystery to untangle. Without giving away spoilers I will just say I did not see the twists and turns of this story. Loved it. However, I will say that the reader will get much more enjoyment out of it if they read the books in order. All the characters will make much more sense. Two thumbs up!

I was glued to it!

5 stars all the way around. This story is better than the original. Did I actually say that??? Yes, yes I did. I like this ending so much better. I know that is dangerous territory as P & P is a classic. But, you like what you like. Also, the narrator is Stevie Zimmerman. I had never heard of her before but she has the most beautiful voice and I felt she did the characters well. I never got distracted by her. I am picky about narrators. Totally worth spending a credit on this one. I will listen to this again and again!

Loved it.
Revisado: 08-04-21
I loved this story. I had read the Bridgerton Series and half of the Rokesby series. I was starting to get a little bored and needed a new story line. I clicked through the synopsis and thought what the hell. Turns out I loved it. Things happened that I didn't see coming and it just felt fresh. Not so predictable like a lot of romance novels. And it gave me a new perspective on the Smythe-Smith musicals. As for the narrator, Rosalyn Landor, she is extremely talented and I enjoy her voice work. Always a pleasure to hear her read.
