Historia
In 1995, James W. Loewen penned the classic work of criticism Lies My Teacher Told Me, a left-leaning corrective that addressed much of what was sanitized and omitted from American history books. But in the decades that followed, false leftist narratives—as wrong as those they supplanted—have come to dominate American academia and education. Now, in the same spirit but updated for 2024, Wilfred Reilly demolishes the scholastic myths propagated by the left, uncovers fresh angles on “established” events, and turns what we think we know about history upside down.

Wilfred is that demon that democrats hate the most - a black conservative that exposes the lies the leftist national socialist elite in America have been pushing for decades.

Great book - not for snowflakes/welfare parasites
Revisado: 09-20-23
Great book with well developed characters. It may be too prescient for comfort if the country does not rein in the out of control welfare spending. This country spends more than $1.3 TRILLION a year on welfare, the single largest use of income taxes by a huge margin. The next largest use of income taxes is for interest payments on debt incurred for welfare.
If this does not change, then this book is probably an optimistic view of this country's future.
Also, some people try to denigrate the book by saying it is very religious but they are just trying to keep the non-devout from reading it and maybe realizing this book foretells our future if spending is not checked. I am an atheist and I was not offended since the references to religion comprise less than 1% of the text.

Written by a kid and sex predator partners?
Revisado: 02-17-23
Parts of the stories seem to be written by a horny 14 year old or someone with very limited experience with relationships.
In each story, wolf says he is in love with a woman he has only spent a few hours with and seems to base this only on how the woman looks. And he says each woman is his one true love.
I personally don't believe in love at first sight (though I have all too often believed in lust at first sight). But even if you do believe someone can fall in love without knowing hardly anything about the other person, it does not seem likely this will happen in every single story. How many one true loves can one person have?
In addition, there are so many bad choices made by the protagonist, it is implausible this was written by a functioning adult.
Then the writing is turned over to the sexual predator member of the writing team in the 3rd book:
First he once again falls in love with a woman he has only known for a few hours. The fact that she is the wife of his client does not dampen his lust/love. Nor the fact that she is suffering from what seems to be a severe mental illness.
Then he sneaks into her bedroom at night and watches her for a long time while she sleeps. Then he leans over her and does a biden for a few minutes where he puts his face next to her's and sniffs her.
Then later on he acquires some of her underwear and spends time sniffing it and fantasizing.
Finally, once he finds her in a state where she is totally unaware of what she is doing or who he is, wolfe thinks that is the perfect opportunity to have sex with her. Any decent person would consider this rape.

Historia
Twice before, mysterious cosmic catastrophes have sent portions of the Earth across space and back in time - first, with the Grantville Disaster in West Virginia, and then again with a maximum security prison in southern Illinois. Now, the planet is struck with yet another such cataclysm, whose direct impact falls upon the Queen of the Sea, a cruise ship in the Caribbean. When the convulsions subside, the crew and passengers of the ship discover that they have arrived in a new and frightening world. They are in the Mediterranean now, not the Caribbean.

Ship captain, crew, and congressman are so stupid
Revisado: 08-13-21
and soft that I found it very hard to care if they lived or died.
The captain and crew bring on board 200 armed enemy warriors and let them keep their weapons. Then they are shocked when the enemy tries to take over the ship, which would be invaluable to anyone that was willing to use it to fight the many wars of the era.
Then the idiot caption, crew, and congressman are unwilling to punish the murderers after they kill two crew members. The rationale for this idiotic decision is that maritime law of 2, 300 years in the future does not allow punishment.

Outstanding book that is eerily prescient.
Revisado: 07-05-21
A tragedy American politicians did not read and heed this book.
Ringo is so perceptive, articulate, and honest about how our society really works that he makes a book that is essentially written as a documentary an extremely interesting read.
In this story written in 2007/2008 the author predicts a 2019 world shattering pandemic caused by a virus released by China. He predicts that the virus will be released by China in 2019 and that the impact will be much worse because the CCP covers up how severe it is and obstructs the investigations by WHO and other countries. Was he able to see the future? :)
If politicians had read this book, then maybe then a travel quarantine could have been implemented and saved hundreds of thousands of American lives instead of leftists calling a quarantine racist and thereby killing untold numbers of Americans.
While the author is definitely a conservative, the reviewers that want to portray Ringo as a FAR right wing writer must be VERY FAR left wing America haters. For example, Ringo shows a Democrat politician as someone who does the best job of responding to the virus, not something a far right wing author typically does. He also supports forced inoculations - something that would be an anathema to most conservatives but is currently espoused by many left wing politicians.
Overall he points out the flaws of politicians from both parties so that may be what causes some far leftists to not like his politics. They must ignore that he considers Bush Jr to be as bad a president as the democrat in office when this story takes place.

Historia
The quiet of Longboat Key, Florida, is shattered when an old man is shot to death and his murderer is killed while fleeing the police. Strange documents in German and Arabic are found in the killer's car then an old friend of the murdered man disappears. As the mystery deepens, a ragtag group of devious and dangerous characters intrudes on the lives of the islanders, creating a kind of havoc unusual for a sun-splashed island full of retirees and beach bums.

Crooked lawyer portrays police force as corrupt
Revisado: 06-09-21
This so called writer has his crooked lawyer protagonist say that he can have the local police force arrest anyone he wants on made up charges and disappear them.
When more than 99% of police are good officers but are under attack by racists and communists we don't need a book that so falsely portrays them.
