Historia
In a town as small as Tyson, CA, everybody knew the four brothers with the four different fathers - and their penchant for making good music when they weren't getting into trouble. For Mackey Sanders, playing in Outbreak Monkey with his brothers and their friends - especially Grant Adams - made Tyson bearable. But Grant has plans for getting Mackey and the Sanders boys out of Tyson, even if that means staying behind.

Revisado: 02-10-23
This story was chaotic. And the narration didn’t do it any favors. It was like the majority of characters were complete idiots. So many things were problematic - the way two assaults were utilized as story arcs felt cold and so impersonal. The constant and unnecessary use of the F word in reference to gay men. It was jarring and added nothing. The underage sex at the beginning was disturbingly graphic. The ending felt terribly anticlimactic considering the sheer length of this thing.

Great story - meh narrators
Revisado: 09-26-22
I really enjoyed this book. I did not enjoy either narrator but Jeremy York is all wrong for romance. There is nothing sexy about his voice and he sounds like a 60 yo man when the character is only 30. He’s just all wrong for this genre.

I get crushes the way some people get seasonal allergies. And sharing a house with four hot roommates is like being stuck in permanent spring. Too bad I keep getting friend-zoned. But it’s senior year now, and I’m done pining for the impossible. Time to live it up and go out with a bang. Or a lot of bangs.

Love Sam and Jesse!
Revisado: 07-13-22
I loved this book! The dynamic between Sam and Jesse was funny, sweet, frustrating, and so satisfying!
Kirt has been a wonderful narrator for this series! Unfortunately, I feel like Silas kind a missed the mark on the actual dialogue between characters. Sam came across a total idiot. And while his character wasn’t a Mensa candidate, he was a complete moron. The internal dialogue was great tho.

Historia
Get a personal chef, they said. It’ll be fun, they said. And then Thierry shows up and Pietro realizes his mistake. Because he knows Thierry. A little too well. Thierry is the man who told his ex to leave him. Thierry is the man who punched Pietro and ran. Thierry...is his ex-boyfriend’s best friend. But Pietro also knows the man needs a job. An injury destroyed his former career, and Pietro is nothing if not a bleeding heart. Besides, he doesn’t have time to search for a new chef, not with the World Series looming and his team ready to go all the way.

Totally surprised!
Revisado: 04-21-22
This was an incredibly sweet story about two men coping with major life changes and healing broken hearts! I also loved the combo of a Professional baseball player and body guard turned personal chef.
Pietro had recently received a diagnosis of ADHD. He’d been plagued with many different difficulties while growing up and it affected him deeply. It caused him to struggle with low self esteem and feeling of unworthiness. He also was coping with the breakup of his relationship due to his partner cheating on him.
Thierry had a major life upheaval when he was shot and became a paraplegic. He was a security guard for Pietro’s ex, and was shot while on duty. He had undergone many surgeries and was in physical therapy and working in his mobility. He was also coping with the fallout from the shooting in terms of not only losing his friendship with Herve but also unemployment.
This definitely started as an enemies to lovers because Thierry had literally knocked out Pietro’s front teeth in a misguided attempt to honor his friendship with Herve. There was so much animosity between the two. But once they succumbed to their desires abs attraction to each other is was incredibly sweet.
These two men offered each other something neither had before and that was unconditional support. They truly wanted the best for each other. They were also able to bond over their extreme dislike of Herve.
One thing to note is how well the author focused on Thierry’s spinal injury and all that it encompassed. He didn’t just wake up one day from surgery and was magically healed. There were some very uncomfortable moments for him both physically and sexually. It was handle so delicately and respectfully.

Songwriter Dylan McCoy has been burned. By her boyfriend she found in her bed...with someone else. By the contract she signed that obligates her to work with him until the songs for his new album are complete. By her agent when she asked Dylan to keep their breakup on the down-low. When she finds herself in Sunnyville, she refuses to let her new roommate burn her too. Still...a rebound has never looked so good.

Hands down my fave of this series! Grady and Dillon each had their issues that I felt were truly mapped out so we could understand them. I also thought they were relatable and sympathetic characters. So emotional and impactful!! And of course the narration was on point!

Jud Lawson found me stranded in the rain. Broken down on the side of the road in a deserted neighborhood with my piece-of-crap car. I wasn’t looking for a hero, and definitely not one who looks like him. An obscenely hot mountain of a man who screams danger. But I have little choice other than climbing onto the back of his bike.

Historia
After the death of his wife, Tanner Rowe takes a step toward making her dying wish come true and buys the house with the dilapidated barn she'd been drawn to in the Upper Peninsula. But after a year, he still can't get past his grief long enough to make the repairs he'd promised. Recently out of prison, Cole Lachlan has little to his name. Homeless, broke, and without many options as a felon, Cole heads to Red Bluff with hopes of a second chance. There he meets Tanner, whose loneliness mirrors his own, and soon Cole is trading room and board for rebuilding the burned-out barn.

Narrator fail
Revisado: 01-07-22
I hate doing this but Tristan James was the absolute wrong choice for this book. His voice is way too mature for men in their 20s/early 30s. It threw everything off. So disappointing. I should’ve sampled this before I bought the audio. Otherwise, it’s a truly heartbreaking and wonderful story.

He looks like he belongs on stage, stripping out of his firefighter uniform, not running into a burning building to save me. But thank God he did. When the smoke clears and my eyes focus on my savior, one look at his gorgeous face and tattoo-covered muscles, I know he’ll be too much for me to handle. It’s a good thing I never have to see him again, right? Except, losing my home to a fire means finding somewhere new to live, and guess who just happens to be my new roommate?

Narrators didn’t help
Revisado: 10-31-21
The female narrator was not good. Her accents weren’t consistent at all and she sounded whiny. I love Christian Fox but his “Australian” accent and tone for when he read the female parts was atrocious. Absolutely cringy. The story was blah and the narrators didn’t help. This one is a big NO for me.

She's about to make a deal with the college bad boy.... Hannah Wells has finally found someone who turns her on. But while she might be confident in every other area of her life, she's carting around a full set of baggage when it comes to sex and seduction. If she wants to get her crush's attention, she'll have to step out of her comfort zone and make him take notice, even if it means tutoring the annoying, childish, cocky captain of the hockey team in exchange for a pretend date.

Female Narration was off
Revisado: 10-26-21
This story was way more serious then the blurb let’s on. I wasn’t a fan of the female narrator. It was just off. Almost like she was lazy or bored speaking. She was slow and lack enthusiasm. I love love Christian Fox so this was kind of disappointing since there are truly incredible female narrators.
