i listened to the first version and am listening to this dramatized version now. I really enjoyed listening to this story again and the new audio format spiced things up. I confess I’m already a fan of Scott Sigler’s work so I’m biased but I recommend listening if you are a fan of the GFL series.

This book flew by. Since it’s a new story, it took me a while to understand all of the characters so there was some initial confusion at first. That was entirely due to me listening while commuting and occasionally missing a few sentences. I’ll listen to it again immediately.

I found her account of her time with Trump to be credible and compelling. I never cared for him but Trump really appeals to some people and this helped explain why. I bc appreciate the author’s insights.

Fantastic novel by Lindsay Ellis. Normally, it takes a few hours for me to get a feel for a new book/author/narrator but I was riveted after just a couple minutes. A truly exemplary sci-fi audiobook.
Props to Lindsay Ellis. I’ll pre-order any book she writes next.

Would you consider the audio edition of Cartwright's Cavaliers to be better than the print version?
Don't know. I only listen to audiobooks.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Murdock. He is an old school infantryman who has seen countless battles and has a surly yet humorous attitude.
Any additional comments?
If you are looking for a solid battle mech book, this is it. I was also thrilled to learn book 2 was available as soon as I finished the first. That was a nice surprise.
