Historia
Critical Path is Fuller's master work - the summing up of a lifetime's thought and concern - as urgent and relevant as it was upon its first publication in 1981. Critical Path details how humanity found itself in its current situation - at the limits of the planet's natural resources and facing political, economic, environmental, and ethical crises.

Friday, a secret courier, is thrown into an assignment under the command of her employer, a man she knows only as "Boss." She operates from and over a near-future Earth in North America, a vulgar and chaotic land comprised of dozens of independent states. In America's disunion, Friday keeps her balance nimbly with quick, expeditious solutions as she conquers one calamity and scrape after another.

good. plenty of Heinlein wisdom baked in
Revisado: 05-12-22
entertaining with some depth. my favorite parts are those where Heinlein explains his thinking on history and social structure, signs of a civilization in decline in this book is an example.
it's also fun that he anticpated a few things like online education.
as always an intelligent and fun read

Historia
Why are we the way we are? Who can we become? What stands in our way? In Dealing with the Devil, Tony Schwartz investigates these sweeping questions by fiercely reckoning with his own life choices, regrets, and aspirations. He confronts the shame that arose after he helped craft a persona for Donald Trump in The Art of the Deal that 30 years later aided in his election as president. He provides a window into understanding our complicated relationship with Trump, and the Trump in each of us.

worthwhile, a healthy read.
Revisado: 10-03-20
good to hear the story of Schwartz and Trump two very successful people from the perspective of their harried childhoods and inner children. really good to hear honest experiences from another guy who had an unstable mother and a father who didn't know how to cope with it. makes me feel like it's not quite as big a deal.
i found it realistically positive. great. i appreciate audible for putting it out free for everyone to notice.

fantastic! Applications in many corners of life
Revisado: 09-15-16
since embarking on the complexity and simplicity of writing code myself I have wondered about the application of those ideas to writing legislation, decision making and what I'd call optimal morality. this book goes satisfying down these roads with appropriate detail.

Historia
An icon of the environmental movement outlines a provocative approach for reclaiming our planet. According to Stewart Brand, a lifelong environmentalist who sees everything in terms of solvable design problems, three profound transformations are under way on Earth right now. Climate change is real and is pushing us toward managing the planet as a whole. Urbanization - half the world's population now lives in cities, and 80 percent will by midcentury - is altering humanity's land impact and wealth.

non stop fascinating material
Revisado: 08-26-16
beginning to end this is non-stop fascinating material. it challenged a lot of things that as a lifelong environmentalist I had assumed gave me good phrasing for things I already believed and generally was a great and inspiring read.
