Historia
Missing Links is the story of four middle-class buddies who live outside Boston and play golf together at Ponkaquogue Municipal Golf Links and Deli, not so fondly known as Ponky. An 18-hole garbage dump with hazards that include a concrete river surrounded by a chain-link fence and the pillars of the elevated train that runs through the course, it is reputed to be the worst golf course in America.

Alot of Fun and well worth the listen!
Revisado: 08-23-12
I originally thought taht after the first 20 minutes I was going to regret that I purchased this book, boy was a I wrong. I ended up loving it! I will say taht there may be a few too many plots working simulataneously but the characters make it all the more worth while. A definite fun listen.

Teri and Phil had never needed their own personal god. But when Phil is passed up for a promotion - again - it's time to take matters into their own hands. And look online. Choosing a god isn't as simple as you would think. There are too many choices; and they often have very hefty prices for their eternal devotion: blood, money, sacrifices, and vows of chastity. But then they find Luka, raccoon god of prosperity. All he wants is a small cut of their good fortune. Oh - and to crash on their couch for a few days.

A Fun book, good for a laughs!
Revisado: 08-06-12
I'm a big fan of this author and the bizarre tales he tells. It also reminds me of some of the Christopher Moore books in many ways. This one was good, but it took a few chapters to really capture my attention. Once it did it was a good listen. The characters, although truly bizarre began to develop nicely throughout the book and despite being pulled from religions throughout the centuries became very real to me. I would definitely give this book a listen.

Another good, but not Great entry into this series
Revisado: 07-27-12
Don't get me wrong, I love this series and will listen to every book but there was just a little something missing from this one. We have all the fine characters, but something seemed a bit off. I will however look forward to the next entry so we can see how certain elements will or will not work themselves out. I'm a bit tired of seeing those affiliated with Andy getting killed. It seems that there is a bit overkill for anyone associated with over the course of the series and even this book throws out some staggering statistics about killings. Still, if you read the earlier books, this is still a must read!

Excellent continuation of the series.
Revisado: 07-13-12
I thought I would be disappointed as this book is based primarily on Earl Harbinger, the head of Monster Hunter International and does not have the usual cast of characters we have grown to love, other than some short references to them. I was surprised when it didn't bother me as I began to really enjoy the new characters that were introduced and how we got a much better insight as to the inner world of Earl. You really do need to read the first two books in order to understand much of this one but they are all excellent. It ends, leaving the listener yearning for the next book to see how various relationships might progress and what is in store for those fight those things that go bump in the night!

Now, in this new novel, the intrepid lawyer is thrust into the spotlight where he risks becoming a media victim...of the most fatal kind.

Bury The Lead continues this series nicely!
Revisado: 07-13-12
I love how the characters continue to develop with each entry into this series. Although it is preferable to do this series in order it is not a necessity. You get to know the characters so well that you think you know what they are going to do and then ZING! a curve is thrown at you. All in all a very enjoyable listen.

Joe Pickett Novels never disappoint
Revisado: 05-22-12
If you are looking for a fast paced action novel with plot twists at every turn, well, this isn't it. But what you will have is a a really good steady suspense novel taking place in the great outdoors, with a slew of interesting characters. C.J. Box does his usual good job of bringing in new and interesting characters to interact with those we've seen in previous Joe Pickett novels. They are always fun and thought provoking but at times can be a bit slow. The narrater does an excellent job of bringing these characters to life.

A great suspense Novel! Great Characters!
Revisado: 05-02-12
I was looking for a new series that I could look forward to listening too while already knowing the characters so I began with the first in this series. Although it started off a bit slow, it grew on my quickly and my evenings became a routine of dinner, the hot tub and listening to Dave Robicheaux. I left this novel in my device for almost a month before I decided it was time to listen and now I can't wait to start the next in the series. James Lee Burke has definitely climbed onto my list of favorites!

Thoroughly Izzy! An enjoyable Listen.
Revisado: 04-20-12
Although I prefer the previous narrator Ari Graynor, this book carries on in similar fashion with the beautiful semi-dysfunctional Spellman clan hard at work as private investigators. Most of the time its more fun listen how they constantly try to get the goods on one another as much as those they are hired to snoop on. If you are a fan of light-hearted mysteries and suspense then this carries on the tradition of Evanovich and Kolzak and will not disappoint!

Wonderful sequel, I was captivated!
Revisado: 04-20-12
I rarely feel that any sequel is as good as the original but this comes darn close! The characters become like old friends as we begin to learn even more about them. The relationships become much clearer and we even begin to understand the family dynamic between Owen and his dad and brother as they are integral parts of this book. I'm already gearing up for the next book in the series! Well worth the price of admission,

Not just for young adults!
Revisado: 03-12-12
I began listening to this series when my friends little boy asked me to follow along with him. This last installment did not disappoint although familiarity may breed a bit of contempt as we expect every book to be as good or better than the last. This comes close. You definitely need to follow this series in order. All in all, a good but quick listen.
