Best Book Ever!
Revisado: 08-15-16
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Loved listening to this book! The characters are quality. The ending is almost typical, but has a great element of surprise.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Witness [Brilliance Audio Edition]?
How the main character triumphed. I don't want to go into details and spoil the plot.
What about Julia Whelan’s performance did you like?
Great voice inflection. She gave different voices for each character, makes all the difference in a good book. Narrators that are monotone, can ruin a good book.

Historia
Folly Beach is the land of Cate Cooper's childhood, the place where all the ghosts of her past roam freely. Cate never thought she'd wind up in a tiny cottage on this breathtakingly lovely strip of coast. But circumstances have changed, leaving Cate homeless, broke, and unmoored. Yet Folly Beach holds more than just memories. Once upon a time another woman found unexpected bliss and comfort within its welcoming arms. An artist, writer, and colleague of the revered George Gershwin, Dorothy Heyward enjoyed the greatest moments of her life at Folly....

My favorite Book in the Series
Revisado: 08-04-16
What made the experience of listening to Folly Beach the most enjoyable?
I have adored all of the books in this series, with the exception of one. Folly Beach is by far the best one in the series. The others were fun and made me laugh out loud, but this one made me smile, laugh and the ending is sweet and heartwarming. The history of Gershwin and the DeBose family intertwined in the book was great. I love hearing history pulled into a story and one of the current characters is living a parallel life to history. This books is why Dorthea Benton Frank is one of my favorite authors.

Couldn't get through it
Revisado: 04-26-15
What would have made Private Games better?
A different Narrator. There was no voice change between the characters. When he was talking for a woman, couldn't tell.
What could James Patterson and Mark Sullivan have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
A different Narrator. Maybe more than one narrator.
Any additional comments?
The narrator made listening to the book unbearable. I like to be entertained and intrigued by a book, not have to listen so hard to keep up and figure out who is talking and where the story is going. Finally gave up after several chapters.
I love James Patterson and have listened to several of his series and stand alone books. And I promise to be back for more, just not with this narrator.

In The Beach Club, the juicy first novel by Elin Hilderbrand, a series of personal dramas are played out during one summer at a Nantucket Beach Club. It's about the love of summer, summer love, and the special feelings we all have for that special summer place—in this case, a hotel and an island.

Revisado: 02-22-15
I wish I could rate this higher. We truly love the Sisterhood Series and was looking forward to The Men of the Sisterhood series. We were getting into the storyline and poof! The book was over! I'm not sure if I want to pay $ to listen to the next book for it to be over in 3 hours and feel like the story was just getting started.
I'm disappointed, I thought Fern would give us more.

Just could not get into to this book. The narrator doesn't give enough voice differences to know which character is speaking. Had to quit listening after an hour.

Historia
Thirty-four-year-old Ruby Bridge is a not-too-successful comedienne who uses her mother, a nationally-syndicated "moral and spiritual counselor" as the main fodder for her cynical, rather bitter humor. Her mother Nora, long divorced from Ruby's father, is a woman whose past is just about to catch up with her - in the form of blackmail by a former lover.

Wonderful!
Revisado: 02-03-13
This book reminds you not to judge a book by the cover, or a person by a photograph. Written in a wonderful way not to judge other people, because we don't know their history and the why or how they got to where they are in life.
The characters were real and genuine. Kirsten Hannah is one of the best story writers of our time!

After growing up in cheap motels, moving from town to town with her sister and mother, Cheyenne Christensen is grateful to be on her own. She’s grateful, too, for the friends she found once her family settled in California. But she’s troubled by the mystery of her earliest memories, most of which feature a smiling blonde woman. A woman who isn’t her mother. Although Cheyenne has repeatedly asked for explanations, the people who could help aren’t talking.

Not as Good as When Lightening Strikes
Revisado: 01-29-13
Would you recommend When Snow Falls to your friends? Why or why not?
I was disappointed in When Snow Falls after listening to When Lightening Strikes. It was a bit a drag. I finished it out and I'm glad I did, but the story line was a little depressing. I just kept wanting the story to get on with it and come to the satisfactory resolution.

Historia
Lacey Terwilliger's shock and humiliation over her husband's philandering prompt her to add some bonus material to Mike's company newsletter: stunning Technicolor descriptions of the special brand of "administrative support" his receptionist gives him. The detailed mass e-mail to Mike's family, friends, and clients blows up in her face, and before one can say "instant urban legend", Lacey has become the pariah of her small Kentucky town and a media punch line....

This book is hilarious! I was actually laughing out loud in the car, driving! I love the antics, funny phrases and dynamics of the characters. For any female that has gone through a divorce, you will totally relate.
What was one of the most memorable moments of And One Last Thing...?
The newsletter and how Lacey comes to polite grips of her emotions.
