Historia
On November 13, 1974 the quiet village of Amityville was rocked by the murders of six members of the DeFeo family at 112 Ocean Ave. The only surviving member of this tragic ordeal was Ronald DeFeo Jr., who was later charged and convicted to six-life-sentences. Thirteen months later, the Lutz family moved into the lavish Dutch Colonial home, but moved out mysteriously after just 28-days, claiming that the house was haunted! Then came a media frenzy, and with the release of Jay Anson's runaway best-selling book The Amityville Horror, which was later transformed into a blockbuster movie, the story became an international phenomenon.

Touches on most aspects of the murder and haunting
Revisado: 05-27-24
I’ve always been more interested in the DeFeo murders aspect than the subsequent haunting accusations. This book addresses both which held my interest. It jumps around from past to present a lot but it’s not difficult to follow. Lots of details I’d never heard before. Still a mystery and still fascinating.

Historia
Boy George's compelling storytelling shines a light on his encounters with legendary figures like David Bowie, Prince, and Madonna, providing an intimate peek into the music industry's glittering world. Humor, sarcasm, and signature style are brought to this explosive and honest account of Boy George's life as a child growing up in sixties London and coming out to his Irish Catholic family. Hear his account of his exploration of his sexuality through the hedonism of the seventies (the glam rock and punk rock revolution that birthed Culture Club) and his ultimately embracing who he is today.

Honest and Inspiring

Boy George has grown up. It’s a treat to hear George break it all down in his own style. His humor, insight and personal growth all come through. Pearls of wisdom, listeners. Pearls of wisdom. 🙂

Historia
Few people knew America's comic sweetheart Lucille Ball the way Lee Tannen did. Lee first met Lucy as a child but cemented their close and enduring friendship as an adult. During the last 10 years of Lucy's life - years mostly lived out of the spotlight and mainly around a backgammon table in New York; Beverly Hills; Snowmass, Colorado; and Palm Springs - Lee was fortunate enough to be sitting opposite Lucy.

Wonderful glimpse inside the private life of a legend during the last decade of her extraordinary life.

Who doesn’t love Lucy? I’ve read and listened to every Lucille book/audiobook I can find. Most are very good but this one is exceptional. The author manages to respect the legend while also revealing a lot of her human side as well.
