Historia
So much is at stake in the abortion debate. If pro-choicers are right, precious freedoms are in jeopardy. If pro-lifers are right, innocent children are being robbed of their most basic freedom life. Though bumpersticker slogans prevail, the facts are rarely presented. We need clear and credible answers to the central questions of the abortion debate.

Historia
"Who am I becoming?" That was the question nagging pastor and author John Mark Comer. Outwardly, he appeared successful. But inwardly, things weren’t pretty. So, he turned to a trusted mentor for guidance and heard these words: "Ruthlessly eliminate hurry from your life. Hurry is the great enemy of the spiritual life." It wasn’t the response he expected, but it was - and continues to be - the answer he needs. Within this audiobook, you’ll find a fascinating road map to staying emotionally healthy and spiritually alive in the chaos of the modern world.

Very good
Revisado: 08-26-22
This is a really great book. Was recommended often to me and I finally dove into it. In some ways it’s revolutionary and countercultural. it’s obvious that the author has some left wing Christian ideas, I don’t know who he is or ever read anything else from him. He is without doubt coming from a personal – non-denominational – Christian understanding. But that doesn’t effect the overall message of the book.

Historia
This explosive new audiobook challenges many of the long-held assumptions about blacks, about Jews, about Germans and Nazis, about slavery, and about education. Plainly written, powerfully reasoned, and backed with a startling array of documented facts, Black Rednecks and White Liberals takes on the trendy intellectuals of our times as well as historic interpreters of American life.

I would have never thought I would’ve read a book like this in my life. I’m grateful for Mr. Sowell, his courage and his unwavering support for his people. And honest outlook on racial tensions today yet very delicately done.

Historia
The book recounts the life of the Virgin Mary and the divine plan both for creation and the salvation of souls. According to María de Ágreda, the book was mostly dictated to her by the Virgin Mary herself. The book moves between describing the Trinity, the Virgin Mary's life, and providing spiritual guidance to the author, which also spiritually benefits the listener. The book describes the virtues and how the listener ought to conduct his or her life using the Virgin Mary as a model for holiness.

So many misused words, poor pronunciation...
- De LISA en 04-28-21
1/2 through and a bit annoyed
Revisado: 04-07-22
I’d really hope and suggest that they find Catholic readers or they do some research on how to pronounce some of the words.
Abbess Becky Brabham pronounces “uh-biss” kind of like Abyss.
Bi-location is pronounced “bee-location”.
Christendom usually said Chrissss-en-dom. She says Churs-ten-dom
I know it’s nitpicking a little bit but it is tremendously annoying. And these are small simple examples but it’s pretty common.
Overall she does well, not a ton of inflection. But I’ve roughed it out to this point. So I gotta finish.

D-Day is above all the epic story of men at the most demanding moment of their existence, when the horrors, complexities and triumphs of life are laid bare and courage and heroism come to the fore.

Revisado: 06-04-21
So if you’re looking for an *overall* accounting of D-Day then this is it. Shares US invasion and Brits/Canada. For me this was a starter book into DDay and it helped. What it is lacking is the story behind the heroes. If you’re looking for story or great fiction like intrigue this isn’t the book

I loved this book very much. It was very informative on what the 4th cup was. Or is. In some ways it was not enough information. Dr. Hans means of writing is very engaging. Catholic in non-Catholics will enjoy this

Historia
Teresa of Ávila (1515-1582) is one of the most beloved of the Catholic saints. In 1562, during the era of the Spanish Inquisition, Teresa sat down to write an account of the mystical experiences for which she had become famous. The result was this book, one of the great classics of spiritual autobiography. With this fresh translation of The Book of My Life, Mirabai Starr brings the inimitable Spanish mystic to life for a new generation, with contemporary English that mirrors Teresa's own earthy, vernacular Spanish, and that presents us with someone we feel we know.

Good

I read a lot of reviews with some concern about the author or about the original book in general. I think for one who has a Catholic background these concerns are valid. But I believe that in the reading/listening of this book nothing of faith is lost. I thoroughly enjoyed it as a entry level into the life of Saint Theresa of Avila. And I want more of her!

A definitive, deeply moving narrative, Bonhoeffer is a story of moral courage in the face of the monstrous evil that was Nazism. After discovering the fire of true faith in a Harlem church, Bonhoeffer returned to Germany and became one of the first to speak out against Hitler. As a double agent, he joined the plot to assassinate the Führer and was hanged in Flossenbürg concentration camp at age thirty-nine. Since his death, Bonhoeffer has grown to be one of the most fascinating, complex figures of the twentieth century.
