I don’t like kids very much but these kids have won me over! Each one has bravery and courage and integrity to spare and I love how they work together to survive. While I don’t like kids much, I LOVE animals and the bonds formed between the kids and the animals has made me a huge fan of this series! I can’t wait for the next installment!

A wonderful story on survival and triumph!

The Feral Children is an amazing story of chance and circumstance that brings a variety of children together to survive the zombie apocalypse. Thrust into a leadership position, a 14 year old has to grow up fast to keep the kids and the safari park animals safe. I loved how realistic the story is and I cannot wait for the second installment!!!

A New Take on A Favorite Genre!

Smith once again has me hooked! I can’t wait to see what happens with the two families that are introduced in Sons of War. Post-apoc is my favorite genre but Smith spins it in a new and fresh way. With few deaths nationwide after the event he paints the landscape of the many fighting for the few resources and the powerful fighting to seize more in the vacuum left by the event. With subtle overtones of The Godfather and Goodfellows he introduces mobsters and good guys both!

The second installment of Zombie Road is just as good as the first! I enjoyed the addition of new characters and the development of the ones introduced in the first book. The author does a great job of keeping all the sub story lines up to date and I really appreciate how he clearly defines what day it is so I’m not left guessing!

Wow! A new take on the genre!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I’ve read countless zombie books and to be honest I was kind of bored. This book reignited my love for the genre! The characters are real with faults and shortcomings, like all humans are and to me that makes them more relatable. Having grown up in the trucking industry, I loved the references to long haul trucking, CB references and the camaraderie experienced by truckers. In addition I am very impressed at how well written the story is and the narrator is spot on as well! I can’t wait to begin the next book in the series!
