Synthesizing the work of thinkers including Freud, Diderot, Nietzsche, and Einstein, delineating the enticing strategies of characters throughout history, The Art of Seduction is a comprehensive guide to getting what we want - any way we can. Controversial but never dull, timeless and up-to-date, it's destined to be Greene's next best seller.

Informative but...

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Very detailed descriptions of archetypes and principles of seduction. Clear "how to". Good for unmasking someone who is trying to seduce you for their own nefarious benefit. Also great for learning how to effectively seduce. It is overall a great book, I just don't agree with the cold and cruel side.

Historia
Psychotherapist Guy Winch offers practical and psychologically grounded advice on how to determine what to complain about and what to let slide. He demonstrates how to convey our complaints in ways that encourage cooperation and increase the likelihood of getting resolutions to our dissatisfactions. The principles he spells out apply whether we're dealing with a rude store clerk, a bureaucrat, a coworker, our teenager, or a spouse or partner who's driving us crazy.

couldn't get over his voice
Revisado: 11-23-14
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
It is overall a good book, reminds us of using common sense, courtesy and judgement when "complaining". I had a hard time listening to it, because my brain did not like his voice.
For that reason I had to force myslef to listen till the end, and won't re-listen as I usually do to get all benefits from it. I would not recomment it for these subjective reasons. Go for it if the narration doesn't matter to you.
What aspect of Guy Winch’s performance would you have changed?

New principles, big results
Revisado: 11-23-14
What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?
I like the way he approaches organizing. I am not a CEO or anything even close, just a regular woman striving to do more in less time, with less stress. I have only applied a tiny fraction of what I learned from this book so far. Those little changes made an immediate positive difference in how much things I get done and and how relax I am when I decide to not do any "work" at all.

Advertising for his previous book
Revisado: 11-23-14
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
The whole book is geared toward convincing you to apply his system that is described in his previous book. I did not learn anything new from this one.
Would you recommend Ready for Anything to your friends? Why or why not?
no. I would recommend to just go ahead and buy his "getting things done" book. This one won't add anything to your productivity.
