Historia
I’m falling for the father of the baby I’m carrying. The problem is: it’s not my baby. And the broody widower is not looking for a long-term partner. As a surrogate, the deal was that I’d only be in England long enough to give birth. At first, the man seemed as pretentious as his name: Sigmund Benedictus. He and I butted heads. Sig challenged my intentions, accused me of just wanting to do this for the money. Gradually, he learned to trust me.

Disappointed
Revisado: 06-02-24
I was really looking forward to reading this book, especially after seeing so many glowing reviews. I didn’t initially love Sig in The Aristocrat, but he grew on me in the end. I was anxious to see who would be special enough to finally pull him from his grief. Abby was a tremendous letdown. She was immature throughout the book, and I just couldn’t warm up to her. Her character wasn’t developed enough for me to see past her immaturity and insecurities. I just never saw in her anything that would cause Sig to choose her as his second love. I almost DNF, but decided to increase the speed just to make it through. What a disappointment!

They called me the pretty boy on and off the ice. Hockey’s most eligible bachelor. When my teammate asked me to donate one date to his charity, I figured why not. Worst case, I’d spend the night with a fan. Best-case scenario, she would be hot. What I wasn’t expecting was for my dream girl to be the highest bidder. For years, she brushed me off, and now, I finally had a chance to take her out and show her who I really was. With only one shot at this, I really hoped I didn’t mess it up.

Disappointing read
Revisado: 05-15-24
There were parts of this book that I enjoyed, but there was just too much that I didn’t. The whole Grandma Nancy “date” was just ridiculous. I didn’t find her endearing or funny, just wildly inappropriate and gross. I also never fully warmed up to Layla or Miller for that matter and never really bought into their finally coming together. This one was definitely a disappointment. I would return it if I had used a credit.

Too much Aunt Emma
Revisado: 05-07-24
I couldn’t get past all of the dirty old aunt scenes included in this one. I don’t find her over-the-top personality cute, entertaining, or amusing. She’s just annoying and completely unnecessary. I also expected more drama from the ex-wife. There just wasn’t enough going on in the plot to keep me interested.

Historia
For Samuel Grayson, everything is black or white. As a funeral director, there's no room for in-between. He's accustomed to dealing with life and death, though he's definitely more comfortable with the latter. Especially when it comes to a chaotic, petite, feisty ball of energy. Freedom Rayne. He's pretty sure her goal is to make his life hell, or so it appears. When Samuel boards a flight to Las Vegas for his sister's wedding, the last thing he expects is to share it with the woman who drives him crazy.

Not a fan of the FMC at all
Revisado: 05-07-24
I almost DNF this one. I decided to just increase the speed to 2.25 to see if the story ever got better…it didn’t. I was really looking forward to Samuel’s story too, so this was a huge letdown for me. Almost everything about Freedom rubbed me the wrong way. I couldn’t connect with her at all and don’t think that the story showed any growth to her character as I hoped it would. I still can’t figure out how the FMC and MMC fell in love.

Historia
It all started when I hosted a little party for a bunch of new friends. Though “friends” might not be the right word since the invitees were all the women I’d found out my boyfriend was talking to behind my back. When the guest of honor walked in—aka my now ex—things took a turn… Unfortunately, a stranger witnessed the whole blowout. I was in a mood that night and ended up giving this gorgeous guy an attitude, too. As if my night could get any worse, before he stormed off, he informed me he was actually my landlord.

Meh…
Revisado: 04-03-24
I agree that the title doesn’t match the story. I normally love the authors’ books, but this one was just frustrating (and not in a good way). The drama was ridiculous. The characters weren’t overly likable. Zachary Webber is one my favorite narrators, but he couldn’t even save this one for me. I’ve never been a fan of Maxine Mitchell’s narration. This book did nothing to change my opinion. I would pass on this one.

Martin and Peggy Chance believe love should last a lifetime. With their fiftieth wedding anniversary on the horizon, they’ve modeled a beautiful relationship for their three grown children. But to their dismay, that lesson hasn’t quite caught on—the three siblings just can’t seem to take a chance and find love in their own lives.

Hard to finish
Revisado: 02-27-24
I didn’t find the main characters overly likable, especially Palmer. Her immaturity was extremely off putting. It was hard to root for her to get her happy ending. I’m also not a fan of CJ Bloom’s narration. I typically pass on a book when I see that she’s narrating. That likely contributed to my disdain for Palmer. The overall story was just ok. It wasn’t what I have come to expect from this author. I ended up increasing the speed to power through and just get to the end. I wouldn’t waste a credit on this one.

Historia
Word to the wise, never become roommates with a girl you’ve been pining over for the better part of a year. You're probably wondering why I would do such a thing? Well, I didn’t. It was my teammates. The moment they found out Blakely White was single, they took it upon themselves to play cupid and instruct me on how I should win her over. Don't wear a shirt around her. Make her dinner. Lightly touch her shoulder when you say goodbye. I'm so flustered, so overwhelmed, so madly in love with this woman who barely notices me.

Loved it!
Revisado: 01-30-24
I thoroughly enjoyed this one. The narration was fantastic. I love when everyone voices their own lines, so I was thrilled that was the case with this audiobook. As for the story itself, I adored the characters. I laughed out loud so many times! I haven’t read the others’ stories yet, but I’m definitely going to now. There was quite a bit of spice. I also appreciated that there wasn’t some sort of fight or misunderstanding that temporarily tore the couple apart for added drama. The MMC had some drama to deal with, but he ended up leaning on the FMC. I definitely recommend this one!

Historia
I’ve seen Frank Fisher before, but he’s never seen me. He definitely saw me tonight. And I know I wasn’t the only one who felt the world shift the moment our eyes connected from across the bar. But Frank isn’t like his brothers. He’s quiet, elusive, and keeps to himself. It makes him mysterious, but that’s not why I’m drawn to him. It’s something else. Something I’ve never experienced before, as cliche as that may sound. I want to be around him. Get to know him better. Explore what’s growing between us, but Frank keeps holding back and I have no idea why.

Can’t get past the cheating
Revisado: 01-13-24
I couldn’t finish this one. The main characters are completely unlikeable and have no redeeming qualities. Plus, I just couldn’t get past Frank stringing along his girlfriend and cheating on her. The narration was mediocre at best. Don’t think that I’ll even bother with Ryan’s story.

I've been in love with my best friend for as long as I can remember. I tried to tell her in high school, which royally backfired. Ten years hasn't changed things, but now I'm finally ready to lay it all out on the table. The only problem? She's got her sights set on someone else. I made the mistake of letting her go once before. This time, I'm going to prove that the only guy she needs is me.

Needed Dual Narration
Revisado: 11-23-23
I found the story hard to follow at times. I think it just didn’t hold my attention well enough, so I often found myself wondering how we got to where we were in the story. The narrator didn’t seem to “get into” the story. She simply read the words. There seemed to be very little emotion. I think I would have enjoyed it much more with dual narration or a different narrator who drew me into the story more. This narrator was a little too boring for me.

When I found an eviction notice taped on my apartment door, I had two options: find a comfortable cardboard box to call home, or move in with Tucker Jameson. Seeing that cardboard makes me feel itchy, I chose the latter. Which shouldn't be that big of a deal since Tucker is one of my good friends. And because he's still pining after his ex-girlfriend and I'm trying to finish my nursing degree, there is nothing to worry about in the romance department, making my last semester an easy one to conquer. Boy, was I wrong.

A Struggle to Listen To
Revisado: 09-21-23
It was tough to finish this one. The male narrator completely ruined it for me. His female voice and other male voices were absolutely ridiculous. I honestly couldn’t wait to finish the book just so I wouldn’t have to listen anymore. I’m not even sure how I feel about the story itself because the narrating was so off putting. May have to read this one on your own.
