Characters
Revisado: 11-15-24
Hard to tell which female is speaking. Both characters sound too much alike. Maybe should have been read by two people. If not, reader should have changed her voice more.

I really liked only one of the three stories - the Lee Hollis story. Just listen to the one story.

Publisher's Summary has small error
Revisado: 03-17-22
First let me say how much I enjoyed this book.
One small correction. The Publisher's Summary says "As one of New York's Finest" where Cash is a firefighter, but the NYFD men are called "New York's Bravest," it is the NYPD that is called New York's Finest. Can see a non-New Yorker wrote this summary!

Historia
While Hannah speeds through a lengthy holiday checklist, drama in town grows like Santa’s waistline on Christmas Eve. Her sister, Andrea, wants to stave off the blues by helping out at The Cookie Jar, Michele’s love life is becoming complicated, Lisa needs Hannah’s advice, and Delores has a Christmas secret she’s not willing to share. But nothing dampens the holiday mood more than the chilling mystery surrounding the man found near death in an abandoned storefront two doors down from Hannah’s bakery. The befuddled John Doe can’t recall a thing about himself.

Back in time!
Revisado: 04-25-21
When you are reading a series it is disturbing to have a book set back in time as if the last few books hadn’t happened. So much has happened in the characters lives that in this newest book hasn’t happened yet. It isn’t a dream or any other plot trick to make this time shift work, it is just a story out of place because of the time line. If it had been in proper sequence, it would be a great book, but having to ignore all the major life events of recents books is just strange.

Time period blanks
Revisado: 08-18-19
This book is in a different writing style than the other books in the series. It would have flowed much better with short paragraph disclosing the time that had passed and the major events that occurred in that time instead of having to pick these facts up from conversations. As reveals were in conversations it was not obvious right away of time gaps, just that some things didn’t fit until the time lapse was conversationally revealed. Major events were never “lived through” as they occurred during these time lapses. Really destroyed story flow and left you sorry you didn’t get to enjoy living through these major events with the characters.

Love series, but not Ross Barton
Revisado: 07-11-19
Love the series but the new Ross Barton character just rubs me the wrong way. The way he came in as a "Johnny come lately" character and swept Hannah off her feet into a quick marriage just didn't sit right with me. Seemed like a way out of the Mike/Norman decision. The TV movies handled that part of the story much, much better. Every time Ross says "Cookie" to Hannah it is like I expect him to be twisting his mustache with a sneer slipping off into the shadows. Go back two books and pick up the story from there and forget about the Ross character.

Good, but ending not developed
Revisado: 09-16-16
Any additional comments?
When you go through the trials and tribulations of these good stories and get to the end where the hero and heroine finally overcome all, only to have the author rush through in just a few minutes without the telling of the full story of their riding off into the sunset leaves you feeling left out of the best part of the story.

Jumps in time too much!
Revisado: 08-01-16
Love the series but this one is hard to follow because it keeps jumping in time from before the wedding to after then back and forth many times. The transitions are not well defined and it takes away from an otherwise good story figuring out pre or post wedding action.

Historia
A talented songwriter, Shawn Gallagher spends his days lost in reverie and wonder, oblivious to the wiles of women and the ways of the world. He claims that he’s content with his life, but his music tells a different story - one of loneliness and desperate longing… No one understands why Shawn doesn’t put his musical gift to profitable use - least of all Brenna O’Toole, a fiercely independent tomboy who has been secretly in love with him for years.
