Now I understand!
Revisado: 09-23-20
I felt every word and plan to approach my partner! I knew there was something that we were missing and we both have tried hard to figure it out. All along it was our love language was off key with each other. Now I understand the why and will be excited to start a new song and harmonize with my partner going forward!

The Most Amazing Novel!
Revisado: 07-06-20
I can't begin to tell you in words the emotional waves this book took me on. As a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, I found myself wishing and hoping for justice for the children. I can't pick out my favorite parts because the entire book was my "favorite" parts! The characters were rich and deep with characteristics of the south and the narrative was exciting to listen to. I think the character that left the most profound mark on me was Rhetta. Such strength and assurance was shown without speaking a word. And, when she did speak, her courage was mesmerizing. I truly felt like I was standing inside this story as the characters weaved in and out of my mind. I don't hold a writers degree and this is the first book review that I have ever given, so my words are not as big or as important as this story was too me. I only know that this book will forever hold a place in my heart and in my mind.
