Fairly good easy listen

I liked this YA star adventure. It was a classic enemy to lovers plot where pretty boy realizes that the world doesn't revolve around him or his powerful family. It was fairly predictable and had the usual cringe-worthy scenes you can expect in YA, but overall it was a fun listen.

Great Narration; Story Lacking

I usually don't get into novels written in the first person. The narration by Amanda Dolan was great that it didn't sound forced so the first person narration sounded like truth. I will be looking up other things that she has done.

The actual plot and story of Red Queen started off well. But by the middle when there were not two, but three possible love interests was my cue to sign off. I am not interested in yet another YA story where we have to wait on the heroine to choose her love partner before getting to saving the world. No thanks. I'll be returning this.

Good Romance

Narrator Richard Armitage certainly made this listen infinitely more enjoyable for me.

This was a cute romance. I typically like other plot lines in my romance novels. Even still, this was just an adorable story with two characters that you instantly like.

I definitely recommend for anyone wanting to get lost in a fluffy world of make believe for a day.

The Story of the Brothers Meh

The story line had potential. Unfortunately, there was not sufficient development on either brother to get why they had the tensions they did... One was 'intimidating', though only because he robbed houses sometimes? I mean, really? That's not really that intimidating. The other is a whiner. Nothing goes his way and it's everyone else's fault. Good thing this was free or I'd have been much more disappointed.

Great Story

I was hooked on this story from the very beginning. It was exciting, suspenseful and steamy. The romance and relationship between Daisy and Gideon did seem rushed, but that did not really distract from the *ahem* relations.

Joel Froomkin's narration by the end started to grate on my nerves. Or maybe it was Gideon's character by the end. I'm not sure. But overall it was a great listen and I am definitely looking forward to more in this series.

Alf gets her story

Finally Alf gets a story of her own. We first saw this amazing character early in the series. Over time, the small glimpses we saw of her was intriguing and mysterious. I was very happy to see her get her happy ending. Though I did like the hero, he did have a few moments where he annoyed me.

Great and Emotional
