Historia
Charley sees dead people. That's right, she sees dead people. And it's her job to convince them to "go into the light." But when these very dead people have died under less than ideal circumstances (i.e., murder), sometimes they want Charley to bring the bad guys to justice. Complicating matters are the intensely hot dreams she's been having about an Entity who has been following her all her life...and it turns out he might not be dead after all. In fact, he might be something else entirely.

It Was Good But
Revisado: 06-14-13
Where does First Grave on the Right rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Well I have listened to hundreds so near the middle.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
My extreme reaction was to the fact that Charlie seems to fall in love with a guy who when she first met him almost raped her and has never treated her kindly at all, but yet she loves him because he is hot. He is a creepy stalker and abusive. What kind of message is this for women? It is ok if a guy sexually assaulted you and treats you like garbage, you can change him with love? I am not at all happy with this, it ruined the book for me which besides her relationship was fun.
Any additional comments?
I would not like any young women who have never been in a healthy relationship to read this and get the idea abusive men just need love.

A Modern Sci-Fi Master Piece
Revisado: 10-10-12
What did you love best about The Strange Affair of Spring Heeled Jack?
The writing, the plot and characters. The author took real people from history and made them into bigger then life characters in a world twisted by one mans folly.
What did you like best about this story?
I usually can tell the ending of a story and it's plot twists early, but not here. I was kept interested with the story having to know what happened next.
Any additional comments?
The beginning is slow because it is like a history lesson on Victory England so you are familiar with the world the story is set in, but after the first 30 minutes it really kicks in to high gear.

First Time and Hooked
Revisado: 05-24-12
What made the experience of listening to The Crossing Places the most enjoyable?
The excellent writing and character development. Ruth the main character, she is a strong women and yet flawed, as all people are, making her very realistic.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Well I did guess who the bad guy was half way through, but was kept enthralled by the plot all the same.
Any additional comments?
I am going to buy the second book now.

A good story odd read
Revisado: 02-28-12
Would you consider the audio edition of The Virgin in the Ice to be better than the print version?
I read the book before I listened to this version of it, I also watched all the BBC series so I was exposed to the story before. I think that hearing a book gives a whole new meanings and makes it a different experience if the narrator is good. Not better or worse just different.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Virgin in the Ice?
Well the two I liked the most was the tower scene with Eve and Olivier in the tower, and at the end with Olivier and Cadfael.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
I found the narrators male voices to be comical and not realistic, it was distracting. Her regular speaking voice was fine. Some people just can't do characters and this narrator is one.
Any additional comments?
The story is good enough to get beyond the narrator who is not the worst I have listened to, but by far not the best either.

Revisado: 08-17-11
Well if you like soft porn and a loose predictable plot then you will love this book. Bad character development. The only interesting thing was the take on the vampire origin. I would have stopped listening in the middle of book but I paid cash for this.

His neighbors and customers think that this handsome, tattooed Irish dude is about twenty-one years old - when in actuality, he’s twenty-one centuries old. Not to mention: He draws his power from the earth, possesses a sharp wit, and wields an even sharper magical sword known as Fragarach, the Answerer. Unfortunately, a very angry Celtic god wants that sword, and he’s hounded Atticus for centuries....

I have read all 3 Iron Druid books now and can say without a doubt it is an excellent series. Modern fantasy with a high dose of humor and action. Kevin Hearne has created addictive characters and a universe full of all the mythology of earth weaved into a believable reality.

A Good Story
Revisado: 08-08-11
I found Ghost Story to be an excellent addition to the Dresden mythology. It filled out the characters, tied up loose ends all the while sustaining a plot that keeps you interested until the end. I found John Glover to be a fine narrator and not detracting any of my enjoyment from the writing. If you have read all the other Dresden books then this one is a must read for you.

Good story bad narration
Revisado: 08-08-10
This is the first book by Tanya Huff I have read and I found it disjointed in the beginning, but the characters were well written and the story is interesting. The big down fall was Ms. Linden's performance was like listening to someone on tranquilizers reading the story. Over all the low price makes it worth a read.
