It’s wonderful to see you wrote everything and shared your experiences as well as read them after even creating a YouTube channel and your advocacy works. Thank you so much Skyler for sharing your voice for others of this community or anyone else who this intrigues you’ve helped so many with your kindness, spirit, wisdom, and journey.

Historia
“Can I kiss you?” It was two months before the world premiere of Juno, and Elliot Page was in his first ever queer bar. The hot summer air hung heavy around him as he looked at her. And then it happened. In front of everyone. A previously unfathomable experience. Here he was on the precipice of discovering himself as a queer person, as a trans person. Getting closer to his desires, his dreams, himself, without the repression he’d carried for so long. But for Elliot, two steps forward had always come with one step back.

Elliot was once the beautiful girl we knew and now the handsome male who has a story we all should hear
Revisado: 06-20-23
He originally read books including by the memoir by P Car becoming a man which I highly recommend. He started out as a girl who did Juno and the boy who he felt that started to show in Beyond two souls video game and still kept that same wonderful hairstyle that was based on him in game. He’s a wonderful actor and now beyond an gay activist despite him having abs and others may not in their transition he never once says anyone’s worth any less in their transition. To people who assumes he was showing otherwise he was just proud to finally be him and this book? Is his story his transition Nova Scotia’s history and his life. He’s gone through bullying feelings and a world of things. He may be famous but he’s like all of us and he too has his story but as well as awareness and to try to end the feeling alone of other transgenders or people who transition late. His feelings can be a very understandable experience for others who also tried to suppress their gender. Even as he speaks of old spice tons loved axe too even people who weren’t men as teenagers. It all has something we can connect to whether it was with our mother on a sled or looking up to a sibling or a rough sibling from them a young kid. A very recommended book if able to try it. He is brave and he is trying to help us change ongoing issues and tell us trans is real males are real we’re here and all deserve to be heard.

Historia
Becoming a Man is a “moving narrative [that] illuminates the joy, courage, necessity, and risk-taking of gender transition” (Kirkus Reviews). For 50 years, P. Carl lived as a girl and then as a queer woman, building a career, a life, and a loving marriage, yet still waiting to realize himself in full. As Carl embarks on his gender transition, he takes us inside the complex shifts and questions that arise throughout - the alternating moments of arrival and estrangement.

A very informative read
Revisado: 06-20-23
I originally found this book thanks to Elliot pages recommendations article. This was a wonderful book and very powerful and also about how America views white males and how transitioning can be and it’s amazing he transitioned regardless of age to chase his ways to be finally whole. A recommended read for sure.
