Historia
Frank Szatowski is shocked when his daughter, Maggie, calls him for the first time in three years. He was convinced that their estrangement would become permanent. He’s even more surprised when she invites him to her upcoming wedding in New Hampshire. Frank is ecstatic, and determined to finally make things right. He arrives to find that the wedding is at a private estate—very secluded, very luxurious, very much out of his league. It seems that Maggie failed to mention that she’s marrying Aidan Gardner, the son of a famous tech billionaire.

Historia
Daniel Martin has never forgotten his childhood encounters with Frank Watkins, the man who built his family a summer home out of cardboard and plywood. Frank's gaze was oddly confusing, as if he was attempting to discern the proper way to behave because he didn't know how to respond in a human manner. Since Frank obviously wasn't an alien, young Daniel thought maybe the man was crazy. In the end, Daniel would learn the terrifying truth about Frank Watkins. And as an adult, Daniel is about to discover there are more of them out there.

Loved every minute!
Revisado: 02-11-21
I've read close near 100 horror books, and this by far is among my top 5. Unlike Stephen King that stretches his stories with boring and unnecessary content, there are very few dull moments. Certainly a page turner that keeps you guessing and horrorified at points!

Historia
A man must survive the zombie apocalypse armed with only a shotgun, a Samurai bat, and the will to live among the unliving in this horror series debut. It’s been two years since civilization ended in an unstoppable wave of chaos and blood. Now, former house painter Augustus “Gus” Berry lives a day-to-day existence of waking up, getting drunk, and preparing for the inevitable moment when “they” will come up the side of his mountain and penetrate his fortress.

An uninteresting book
Revisado: 09-15-20
As a lover of horror books I'd figured I'd give this book a chance. Though the book had promising moments the ending leaves you with "you gotta be kidding me, this is it!?"
A lackluster read!

Historia
When Mouse’s dad asks her to clean out her dead grandmother's house, she says yes. After all, how bad could it be? Answer: pretty bad. Grandma was a hoarder, and her house is stuffed with useless rubbish. That would be horrific enough, but there’s more - Mouse stumbles across her step-grandfather’s journal, which at first seems to be filled with nonsensical rants...until Mouse encounters some of the terrifying things he described for herself.

Ridiculously stupid story
Revisado: 08-04-20
Nothing about this book is scary or even remotely logical. The villans you wait to learn about are even weirder. I found it hard to actually finish this audible. It's long, drawn out, mostly uneventful and super ambiguous. Least favorite book of all time!

The lives of the Barretts, a normal suburban New England family, are torn apart when 14-year-old Marjorie begins to display signs of acute schizophrenia. To her parents' despair, the doctors are unable to stop Marjorie's descent into madness. Father Wanderly suggests an exorcism; he believes the vulnerable teenager is the victim of demonic possession.

Confusing sequencing and many unanswered questions
Revisado: 08-04-20
One of my least favorite audible books. The book ended with several unanswered questions and the sequencing of the story telling is strange and confusing at times. Nothing about this is original, just takes scenes from the exorcist movie.

Meh!
Revisado: 04-13-20
The story became very interesting as the reader started to ponder the various possibilities and happenings in the story, however much what you hope to learn and resolve is left unanswered. The ending is AWFUL.

Overdrawn!
Revisado: 11-27-19
The first 70% of the book is a mundane, PAINFULLY slow read followed by 20% of on the edge of your seat suspense, ending with 10% mediocre climax. Not one of my favorite King stories but decent.

Historia
An 11-year-old boy's violated corpse is found in a town park. Eyewitnesses and fingerprints point unmistakably to one of Flint City's most popular citizens. He is Terry Maitland, Little League coach, English teacher, husband, and father of two girls. Detective Ralph Anderson, whose son Maitland once coached, orders a quick and very public arrest. Maitland has an alibi, but Anderson and the district attorney soon add DNA evidence to go with the fingerprints and witnesses. Their case seems ironclad.

I enjoyed this audiobook, the voice actor was marvelous and the storyline, although long, was great for long car rides. I was hoping for a more action packed ending but still a great story!
