Historia
There are still countless tales of the Scythedom to tell. Centuries passed between the Thunderhead cradling humanity and Scythe Goddard trying to turn it upside down. For years humans lived in a world without hunger, disease, or death with Scythes as the living instruments of population control. Neal Shusterman—along with collaborators David Yoon, Jarrod Shusterman, Sofía Lapuente, Michael H. Payne, Michelle Knowlden, and Joelle Shusterman—returns to the world throughout the timeline of the Arc of a Scythe series.

This book was short and sweet with a lot of twists and turns. It definitely kept me on the edge of my seat and had a very unexpected ending!!! Loved the performance!
The only thing that was a bit strange was the female character’s voice when Simon’s character tried to switch between the two.

Revisado: 06-04-22
I think that now I’ve listened to all of Michael Robotham’s books except one! I’m hooked on his style, character development and the twists and turns that they hold. They’re thoughtful and well-written and each one has a great narrator that captures the characters well, especially this one! I wish I could find another similar author now that I’ve run out of books to listen to by him! You should must definitely read and buy this psychological thriller!

Revisado: 07-30-21
I listen to about five or six books per month and this by far has been one of the best I’ve listen to in a long while. They kept me on my toes, and the narrator was great! All of the voices and characters were done well. and I felt like all of the main characters were very well developed. If you want to listen to a little bit of a twisted thriller, then this is your book! I felt like I could feel every feeling that the main character was feeling. Not only that but from what I know about the law in court rooms, From my experience as an intern at an attorney’s office while I was in college and along with some other exposure this was pretty on point with how things roll in a courtroom. I’ll definitely be looking for my next read by this author and hopefully the same narrator. Happy listening!

Fantastic listen! Kept me on my toes!
Revisado: 07-12-21
I listen to a lot of psychological thrillers and this one was top notch. I don’t typically get into serious feeling police thrillers, and it took me 3-5 chapters in to get into it; but once I did, I was hooked. The author wrote this flawlessly with great character development and unexpected turns. It is very graphic but not to the point that it’s a bad read; however, originally my 12-year-old and I were listening to it and soon into the first or second chapter I decided that this was not some thing that we should listen to together LOL. He’s mature for his age but not that mature! Enjoy the book!

Historia
Kevin Wilson’s characters inhabit a world that moves seamlessly between the real and the imagined, the mundane and the fantastic. “Grand Stand-In” is narrated by an employee of the Nuclear Family Supplemental Provider—a company that supplies “stand-ins” for families with deceased, ill, or plain mean grandparents. And in “Blowing Up On the Spot,” a young woman works sorting tiles at a Scrabble factory after her parents have spontaneously combusted. These wonderfully inventive stories explore the relationship between loss and death and the ways we try to cope with both.

Historia
Billy Todd has always been different. Most people called him odd, and those were the nice people. Though he was born with a learning disability, Billy's parents never allowed him to consider himself disabled. Raised to be self-sufficient, Billy might not be as smart as some, but he was a lot smarter than people realized.

An absolute must read!
Revisado: 12-21-19
Wow, what an absolutely stunning performance of a very well written book. The characters were well developed and each event in the book was acted out and read in such a descriptive way that I felt like I was right there. Every time I got in my truck I couldn’t wait to turn this book on. It left me hanging on the edge of my seat as I went through Joy, pain, sadness, devastation and fear. I truly wouldn’t want to miss this one. I highly recommend this be your next read. The narrator truly brought this book to life. Now I just have to decide if my next lesson is going to be by the same author or the same narrator! What a dilemma!
