Historia
There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

Enough with the Scooby-Doo references geez…
Revisado: 12-01-23
I’m a huge fan of Ray Porter, he’s an amazing narrator. I started listening to him in the Joe Ledger saga and have followed him since. I’ve even listened to genres i otherwise a not interested in, this book no exception.
If not for his narrative skills, I wouldn’t have gone to the end. I’m not sure which was worse, the overall plot, or the endless Scooby-Doo references.

I don’t care what they say, Great Crime Fiction!!!
Revisado: 11-09-23
I came across this book a couple years ago. I read all the reviews and rather than buying, I put it in my wishlist. I contemplated getting into this book and I finally just did it. I didn’t see any problem at all with the narrator. People are WAY too hard on him in there reviews. I thought he did a great job.
As for the story, Two Thumbs Up….
I found it hard to put down…..

Historia
George Wilson has garnered much acclaim for this shattering and enlightening memoir. Detailing his odyssey from July, 1944 until the following summer, If You Survive is a startling first-person account of the final year of World War II. Wilson was the only man from his original company to finish the war. As a Second Lieutenant, he went ashore at Utah Beach after the D-Day invasion amidst burned vehicles, sunken landing craft, and broken fortifications.

Outstanding account of one man’s war. Seen from the lense of the grunt.
Revisado: 07-20-23
This book was really good and described from one the Army’s lowest levels of leadership. As a retired Army Officer w/26 yrs of service. I’ve read my share of war stories told from the vantage point from General officers at the War Dept. all the way down to the lone soldier in the foxhole. Tho understanding the overarching “Scheme of Maneuver” like chess pieces is an amazing way to understand how a World War could be waged, but to me seeing the same war thru the lense of that soldier fight at the “Tip of the Spear” is nothing short of amazing. Amazing to think someone like George Wilson could survive for so long at the Tip of the Spear when so many did not.
I enjoyed the narrator (Brian Keeler) also and will look for other titles he has narrated.
I gave this book 5-stars, I’d give it more if I could. George if you’re still with us, thank you so much for defending our freedom.

Historia
On his last combat deployment, Lt. Cmdr. James Reece's entire team was killed in an ambush that also claimed the lives of the aircrew sent in to rescue them. But when those dearest to him are murdered on the day of his homecoming, Reece discovers that this was not an act of war by a foreign enemy but a conspiracy that runs to the highest levels of government. Now, with no family and free from the military's command structure, Reece applies the lessons that he's learned in over a decade of constant warfare toward revenge.

Amazing story from a writer that knows his $#*+.

Loved the story from someone that knows how an Operator well “Operates “…. Great use of tactical & technical fieldcraft throughout the book.
I couldn’t help but think the Hartley’s description could easily been that of the Clinton’s.
Already look forward to getting into the next book.
