Like so many other litrpgs it needs an official audio edit to get rid of the things that are atrocious when read out loud. Stat screens aren't the worst offender here, it's that the skills full name AND RANK are read for every use. So in every fight it's like, "he used dash 2 uncommon to close the gap, closed his fist and delivered a power punch rare to the face." The story and the narrator are both pretty good, it's just yet another victim of no one considering the parts of litrpg that don't translate to an audio format.

Awful Narration

Story is decently fun. Yes, it's a Gary Sue series. The 1st line of the description of Book 1 is, "MC will become a god," so ignore people complaining about that 2 books in. The narrator constantly loses accents mid-sentence, which is weird because he has about 4 in his toolkit. The greater issue is HOW the narrator chooses to enunciate and draw out every bit of dialogue. At times it honestly sounds like Will Shatner auditioning to play Ace Ventura. Every syllable is hit for maximum emphasis and theres about 2 dramatic pauses per word a character says. Good dialogue becomes cringey, and bad dialogue will make you want to throw your phone. The way the narrator decides to have characters simply say, "okay," would make a CW series sound Oscar worthy.
