Historia
A hero’s journey begins in an exhilarating new series by Griff Hosker. In 1335 the Black Death was just 13 years away from England, but there were other threats and dangers. Young John Hawkwood is forced to leave his home and seek a life in London. There he learns how to survive and, more importantly, how to fight. Leaving his life as an apprentice tailor he follows the army and King Edward to fight the Scots. He has a skill: he can not only use a bow, but he can use a sword and his mind.

Great book, equal to the Last Kingdom! Similar style and time to many of the writing of Bernard Cornwell.

Historia
It was just a godforsaken mountainside, but no place on earth was richer in silver. For a bustling, enterprising America, this was the great bonanza. The dreamers, the restless, the builders, the vultures - they were lured by the glittering promise of instant riches and survived the brutal hardships of a mining camp to raise a legendary boom town. But some sought more than wealth. Val Trevallion, a loner haunted by a violent past. Grita Redaway, a radiantly beautiful actress driven by an unfulfilled need.

My Favorite Louis L'Amour Book!
Revisado: 04-24-18
What made the experience of listening to Comstock Lode the most enjoyable?
Great story line and characters. I have listened to all of the Sackett Series, as well as many other L'Amour books, but this one was more captivating and entertaining than the majority of his other writings.
What other book might you compare Comstock Lode to and why?
The first Sackett book

This book takes you behind the scenes into the evil workings of Iran and radical Islamic Terrorist. It helps to bring into focus the reason why terrorist desire to bring the world into complete chaos, and their ultimate purpose to encourage the return of the 12th Imam. The author does a great job of entertaining while educating the reader on the subject at hand.
